    Good morning, everyone!

PA opened it up to 65 and older yesterday, too. Lynn happened to open one of her healthcare provider apps and saw they were scheduling already - we are now both scheduled for the 1st shot on January 30th.

    Stay safe out there!!!

We are driving to Detroit today to attend a funeral on Friday. Hoping to return on Sunday if the snow starts on Monday. If the report moves the snow up to Sunday then we will leave on Saturday.

I don't qualify for the vaccine. My wife gets the shot today. Son in law and youngest daughter already have shots. By exposure and job title.

    Evening all:
Just got to thinking about something!
Looked up the population of 18071 zip code (10,578), then looked up the number of covid cases for 18071 zip code (currently at 694). If I got the math right, app. 1 out of every 15 people has or had this virus as of right now in our immediate area. Don't know if that is the norm, and I'm sure that there are more that weren't diagnosed, just seems like a high ratio, THEN, I broke it down to a percentage of app. 6.67%, that sounds much better! o_O

Here in Pima county - there were 95,000 doses supplied by AZ and about 45,000 have been delivered to recipients. Current rate of delivery is about 4,000 per day - they are thinking (without resupply) that 14 days remain. I'm 71 and still not old enough to be on the "list". According to our local news they might lower the registration age to 65 later this week........ We'll see. This is going to drag out for a while.

My wife is going nuts trying to keep things in order with "her" firemen and EMT's. Due to exposure, testing delays, RTW permission and whatever - they are really having a hard time keeping the stations and trucks manned. Lots of OT - and people sitting at home waiting out the return to work separation time. Most all of the positive cases are coming from family exposure - kids that brought it home, etc. Big exposure problem also seems to be (supposedly medically trained) crewmen showing up at work - then deciding they feel sick! So then a whole crew has to be tested and so-on. DUH.

A local hospital provides the GRFD with medical "return to work" permissions - and for whatever reason, they only provide that (contracted) service during office hours, 5 days a week. I understand the need - and the crush of work at the medical facility - but a crew sitting out a weekend waiting on the chance to be OK'd on Monday.... Constitutes an unnecessary risk for both the public and the OT working crews. At the moment, she has been trying to keep a lid on this - avoiding having to park un-manned vehicles - but now many months have gone by and it has not slowed in the slightest - some crews have been tested 3 or 4 times and more.

Morning folks. warm and sunny today in Florida. Tried getting on the reservation list here to get the vaccine but...site opens at 9:30 and is shut down at 9:31 because of being full for the days reservations. Just have to wait until the rush is over. Deb was told by her doctor not to get the vaccine because of her allergies and her doctor is waiting to see how others are affected.
We are planning a visit to the UDT/Seal museum hopefully today. I will post some pictures from there.

Have a safe trip Tom and be safe.

Rained last night. Not enough to do much good but it was rain. Don’t have to water today. Think I’ll get the truck washed and then give the BBQ a good going over.

They just opened it up here in PA for anyone 65+. I checked all of the places nearby; they were either booked up or had not received any vaccine yet. I'm sure it will be a mad scramble for a little while.

Had a good day today. Went to the UDT/Seal museum. It was informative, interesting and sad seeing the wall of those killed while serving as well as the 4 legged seals that lost there lives while on duty.

Yesterday I picked up some hydraulic oil for my splitter, at a local store. I used their pickup service. Pickup parking was way out at the end of their lot, for some unknown reason. No prob for me, but the smallish girl carrying a 2gal. jug of oil, short sleeves, no coat, light cold rain, was definitely struggling. More than a few obvious things could use some attention. Seems like SOP everywhere lately, maybe covid stress, IDK.. I gave her a $5.
