    sidearm for Marines was Beretta
    CIA Glock 43
    FBI Glock 19M

    But apparently they're not reliable
    Interesting

It has a lot of safeties
including your Finger and your Brain
if you have those, an ND would happen never

Accidental discharges will happen, with or without a manual safety.

Training is the only way to prevent an accidental discharge. 17 out of my 24 years of active service, I was a qualified range master. I have seen all types of people, with all different backgrounds. Every single person must be broken down to the basics of gun handling safety, and then rebuilt from the ground up.

The process must be exercised so muscle memory is developed, putting procedure in place that keeps the average person from putting their fingers where they do not belong.

It is the process of putting your rifle on safe when the sights come off target or keeping your finger out of the trigger well when the sights are off target. It is the process of always drawing your pistol with the index finger along the bore axis of the gun and holstering the pistol in the same manner.

You can immediately identify a military trained shooter. The finger is never in the trigger well until they are ready to discharge the weapon.

Most negligent discharges happen during two manipulations of a handgun. 1. Reholstering . 2. Dryfire of the weapon. Both are fixed with repetition training.

    1. Pistols are always drawn and stowed with the index finger along the bore access.

    2. Pistols are always press checked before dry fire. Every time. No exception. No excuses.

Tell that to the “expert” that shot himself while lecturing folks on being the only one in the room “trained” to handle a glock.

If the expert had an accidental discharge he/she dorked the dobberman ...... and violated multiple basic rules of safe weapons handling. No safety in the world can protect you from this idiot.

Finally located a Glock 19.5 after months of searching. I completed the build a few days ago and put the first 100 rounds through it yesterday with zero malfunctions - performed like a Glock.

    Same crap everyone else got
Looks good. Forgive me as I'm a poors and only have a 19.3 so no backstraps for me, but do all of them fit like that? Is there supposed to be that little gap towards the top around the thumb indent?

I run a 3rd gen too. So no back straps, but I do find a beaver tail adds some mass and is a happy medium

I did swap to my winter carry a couple months back but that is just the same Taurus 66 .357 mag but I replaced 2 or the hornady critical defense with 2 158 gr sjhp so I can rotate the cylinder and be ready to run up on something while I'm in the woods...

Deer season ends Wednesday so I guess ill drop my winter carry... Which is just my summer carry with 2 rounds of 158 gr sjhp first in line instead of all 7 125 gr critical defense...
