Hey @MAG GRY TACO15 if your spring compressor doesn't work out, think we can try this?

    Oh Jesus....
I think I'm just going to do the weight of the truck method so I don't have to go get the spring compressor from Advanced Auto Parts. Probably safer with this method anyways. I don't have that many locking pliers anyways haha.

The weight of the truck method works fine for 600 lb springs. I did it by myself with no issues.

I did not try it when I went to 700 lb springs. Not saying it won't work, just saying I did not do it that way.

I'm changing out from 885 to 886 springs, so that's 590lbs to 660lbs. After using a spring compressor and impact gun on 3 or 4 sets of springs I can't imagine the weight of the truck method even with 886 springs will be more dangerous than the spring compressor.

Since I'll be onsite next week I'll get started on this earlier. I'm going to need a confirmation (within the next week) of who is coming, what time you'll be arriving (roughly) and what is needing to be done so I can arrange/plan for garage space/what tools will be needed. This way we can get a rough shape for the day

I plan I bring my compressor and air tools too. Along with every tool I've ever had to use that has helped me put on an IFS suspension in the past. Also people might want to spray down bolts and nuts with some wd40 if you have an older truck or if they have any rust just to save time and minimize the risk of stubborn or broken bolts.

you can cheat with the alignment and take pictures of the cam bolts and then reinstall them where they were. It’s quick and usually gets you close enough to drive it for a few days.

None yet but will be doing alot just getting it back on the road. Finishing rebuilding it after former owner wrecked it.
So I've noticed that this thread is labeled GA Mod day If that means Georgia I'm in idaho and wont make it. That's my bad for not realizing and not knowing being new to the forum and all but if its local to me i have an innovative standing strut spring compressor it's very user friendly and I can easily swap many in a short time.

I think they are the JBA HD UCAs, only going up like 2-2.5" and a 32.2" tire (275), but figured it be helpful for now and potentially later.
