    Hey all!

I was just wondering if this is common or if the people who mounted my tires didn't seat the tire fully... I have SCS ray 10's -38 off set with 285/70r17 BFG Kbro2's. There is a slight gap from the outer fake beadlock and the bead/sidewall of my tires. Was just wondering if anyone else with the same set up looks like this. This issue is resulting me in a lot of trail rash when aired down off road. I don't mind the rash but enough of it will shoot my tires out of balance.

Thanks and have a good one! :D

I have the same setup and it does not look like that, looks like something isn’t seated right.

@DavesTaco68 exact same set up? Could I see some pictures of yours. I'll go back to the tire shop and re seat these if I can get some proof that these are not seated right. Thank you!

I don’t know how they could be that far off with the bead if the tire/wheel were a true size match. Somethin’ ain’t right.

@SCSPerformance Got anything on this? Just knew it was off since the start. Have taken the truck out about 3 times and the rash is just terrible because it's not sitting right.

17 inch but -10 offset. I wouldn't think that the 9 inch wide wheel you have would be much different than the 8.5 I'm running.

We can give it a shot. Something definitely looks weird, but hard to know what that might be from a couple pictures. Pretty hard to mess up seating a bead, but I don't really know what else it could be!

just read up it’s just the tire width and the rim width.. 285/70r17 is about 10.8” wide and these are 9” rim. Was told that a 35x12.5 will sit flush as these 33’s will sit like this until 35’s I guess I’ll deal with it!

You could go with the 305/65/17 like I did, but mine are the 8.5 rims with the -10 offset.

Thanks for then info! I have contacted my tire guy and said that it’s just the width of the tire to the rim. It’s gonna sit like that until I throw some more beef on the rim. Thanks all!
