Mostly where can I buy one around here, haha. Well, not for a while yet, though.

Ok, here's a video people have been asking me for. My brother held it sideways and not too secure, so it's kinda crappy quality.

I inquired with Alpine about this kit. They sent me a generic message saying it is "still in the devlopment process". Got any other ways of how one could get this kit?? Sick build by the way bro, mucho props :D

Cost: Including the import fees, I think it was around $4000

HP boost: I never had a chance to dyno it before I moved. However, I have been running it since June, including a 1,600 mile road trip, and nothing has broken yet!

When I purchased mine, they mentioned that a company in Florida had bought a few of the kits. I don't have the name, though. My guess for the 'still in development' is because of the hiccups I ran into when installing it. There were some minor differences between the Tacoma they have in South Africa and here in America (location of a crossmember, coolant cap, extra tow hook), but also the fact that they drive on the other side of the road. This meant a lot of the power steering equipment was in the way of the air piping. So my guess is that they want to fit the kit to an American truck, but can't get one in South Africa.

The only 'complaint' is a quirk of what I assume to be the bypass valve when going in and out of boost with load still on the engine (such as driving up a hill). If you flutter the pedal (reduce the accelerator and quickly press back down on it) the truck will buck. I think this is because when you take your foot off the gas it goes into vacuum for a split second, opening the bypass valve. Then when the truck slows down enough for the engine to see load again (this all happens in a fraction of a second) the bypass valve sees boost and slams shut, making the truck buck.

That's it though. Like I said, I made a 1,600 mile road trip with no problems in the summer.

Oh, and it REALLY changes the sound of your engine. Expect it to be much louder.
