This is what I've been running for the past couple of months. It's the smoothest and most predictable my truck has ever been and I feel like I can accelerate on the highway without having to shift every time. Started from 04B90 SFOB Regular and made most of the edits linked from the 1st post concerning acceleration and torque. I did not edit ACIS, cruise control, max vehicle speed, valve angles, alternator, idle or faults. I also reset the rev limit back to stock. Please keep in mind that I'm not a professional tuner, this is 2.0 SFOB modified with community info from this thread and while I'm happy with it you may not be. Use at your own risk.

Would be great if the initial page in this thread gets updated with all the community tunes similar to the AT thread.

Hey guys. I'm sure this has been covered in depth in multiple places but I'm having trouble finding any info. I had purchased OVtune back in the day with the dongle-less set up and used Toyota Flash Manager and the P5flash utility. What do I have to do to flash new tunes to my truck now? I haven't been keeping up with the whole transition over to VFtuner so everything is completely different from what I remember.

    I'm not feeling that. Sorry.

If you want a tune share thread, please feel free to start a separate one and I would be happy to like that in the 1st post.

    Canada Eh!

Is it really wise to be sharing full tunes anyway? Wouldn’t that allow someone to circumvent Mats credit system for unlocking tune packs? It is his IP after all. ...sorry to be thatguy.

Ah ok. So it’s built in the VF to not even allow you to open a tune from a different ID that you haven’t unlocked?

Yes. You need to unlock the ID with credits to view / modify / etc

So after installing Mats catless dump tubes and flashing the 04B90 2.0 sfob prem catless tune, I’ve had a chance to run a few tanks of gas through the truck and some snow wheeling.

Taped a rag over the exhaust and checked for leaks the other day. Everything seems to be nicely sealed up. I reused OEM gaskets with a smidge of ultra copper RTV.

I didn’t incorporate any of the edits in this thread to the dump tube tune because I wanted to see how it ran “as is”. Happy to report that none of the surgey-ness has returned. Also no CEL’s after about 1000kms.

I was also able to acquire one of @7r41lbr34k3r ’s Delrin shift knobs from @TacoTim85 . Not sure if its the slightly heavier knob or the fact that the knob feels so great I’m paying more attention to the shifts, but shifts are A LOT smoother!

So happy with this overall setup. OV 2.0, dump tubes, ADM, CORE short shifter, shift knob! Almost how every taco should have come from factory.

I don't remember the numbers, but the weight of the custom knob is very close to the stock TRD OR knob. I weighed both on a kitchen scale in grams at one point.

    Hello.
I have ov tune with the mentioned tweaks 04b14. I have noticed at 45 in 5th, when I apply about 1/4 throttle, I get a bad hesitation. Like the power shuts off, then turn backs on and a jerk.... (!hope that makes sense)

Anyone else have this or know what is causing not and how to fix it?

    I do not.

The best way to see what is going on is to datalog it. Getting deeper into the throttle means that the ACIS, VVTi, ETB, D4-S, and other engine gizmos are all making rapid changes. It might be one of those, a map edit, or something else?

I think I'll flash back to a stock OV tune and diagnose from there. Thank you for your reply

A fresh OV flash can sometimes correct little things that crop up over time. At least it is all easy to do.
