Flashing tpsm

Tpsm started flashing. After realizing I had no low tires I looked it up. Appears to be the battery or the sensor

what is the easiest fix? Just buy new sensors online and replace them all. Or take the truck to discount tire or another tire shop to problem solve which one it is?

truck is 06 with 200k and I’m not not sure what tpsm life expectancy is

 

I would just go to discount tire and have them replace all of them for like 200 bucks

 

06 has one in the spare check psi

 

I grounded a wire under the passenger side dash and shut mine off forever.

 

If I were going to buy a new sensor.
I’d buy 4 and have them put in when I had new tires put on.
That way you save some money on the tire break down fee.
And buy all 4 (or 5 if the spare has one) because the other are probably lose to going bad also.

I can live with the light on.
Some people can’t, do wha suits you best.

And of course, you’ll need to manually check the air in your tires frequently with the light on.
Even if the light isn’t on, it’s a good idea to check them periodically.

 

$200.00 I can buy lots of good tire gauges .

I have heard all kinds of problems with the system.

After market sensors are even more so .

 

To each their own. I got mine replaced no problems yet a few years out. Was just offering an option
