Yeah, that's really the main kit I've been looking at. Everything that guy makes is top-notch. @magneticwhite88 and I were just talking the other day about getting in touch with him to see about getting some kits built. Not sure how true they are, but been hearing rumors he's going to stop making them.

Here's my dilemma. I started building this truck to be able to head to Pismo for the day, smash some sand, then come back. When COVID happened, it changed everything. My poor family, I felt so bad that they were couped up in the house, I went and bought a little travel trailer so we can escape to the mountains, which we do a lot now. even been venturing farther and farther to different RV spots. Now that we use it so much, I need to figure out how I want to LT my truck, and...still be able to tow if possible. I've seen a couple of guys do it with some drop-down air shocks to lift the sagging rear up, but they are also on spring under kits.

    That's a pretty solid plan.

Remember to build car-seat brackets into the cage.

It's not that hard to roll your own 3 link kit off the online calculator and the ruffstuff trailing arms. And the hard part is the install and tuning anyway, not making the brackets and welding the links together.

For the price he's asking I wouldn't expect to pay extra for FK rod ends.

Reverse your rigs. Get a motorhome and tow the prerunner. It’s nice to not stop for the family to use the bathroom.

My neighbor had his scales out today so I figured I would weigh my truck. Pretty happy with the left to right balance right off the bat!

Definitely would be nice. Budget wise, not gonna happen. One thing we have discussed is possibly purchasing an additional truck sometime towards the end of this year. We will see if the boss (wife) lets that happen. We just paid off our vehicles, so the agreement is that we would go for one year with no payments, then we can look at something else.

If you don't have to stop to use the restroom on a family trip without having a motorhome you might be a redneck.

Another reason we like having this small trailer is that we live so close to the mountains. No need to pay for an RV location all the time. Light and small enough to get to some really good spots.

Boon docking in the woods just takes a little more scouting.

Hey guys. Well 2020 was a horrid year for my truck and December was a terrible month. Covid went through the girlfriends family and after people being in n out of the hospital, and other expenses coming here in the new year, I have to scale down my truck so my LT parts are the first to go. Maybe someday, I’ll have the means to make the go-fast dream happen, but for now my truck is my daily and I wanna concentrate on just making it reliable. Haven’t been able to post cuz I got banned for a month without warning. My 2.5x14" triple bypasses will be for sale too, but they are still on the truck until I can find something to switch them out with.

$2500 for the lot or as shown individually.

—Brand New Custom ADS Racing Shocks 2.5x8” stroke long travel coilovers built to Dirt King specs for their 3.5” long travel Tacoma kit. $1,600 firm.

—Used Dirt King machined-cup 3.5+ extended axles rebuilt with new boots and low miles on the rebuild. Will include seal savers and 2 extra SDHQ boots and hardware with the axles. Asking $1,000, regularly $1,352 from DK.

—Brand new Dirt King double sheer kit/coil bucket gussets for 5-15 Tacoma, brand new in the box. Asking $70. Don’t really want to sell the gussets individually.

Sorry to hear the news. I know you've been trying to make this happen for awhile. Hopefully everything works out for you and the family and 2021 allows you to make progress again!

Thanks, sad to see it happen like this but life has its priorities. For right now I’m more concerned with making the truck more daily reliable. Had all sorts of driveline issues and every wearable part in the front driveline and suspension needed to be replaced this past year. I’m content with it just being trail ready for now, because everyone knows with speed comes all the breakages.

But Aye, progress is on the horizon, just not the LT kind. Haha

Never got my hands on one. That was the last piece I needed for the setup but in the end, couldn't afford it. Closest I got was visiting the DK shop in SD and seeing their killer truck.

Edit: I priced it out, if anyone needs a kit, hit up Marie at Headstrong. They had the best price.

Hey guys, i'm looking for some new wheels for my truck and am looking for some opinions on wheel specs (which i dont understand at all). Currently i'm running an all pro +2" lt kit with adv +4" glass front and rear. I'm hoping for the wheel to be flush with the fender. Any ideas?

What size tires are you looking at running? What rim width are you wanting to run?

Im thinking 35x12.50r17 tires on a 9" wheel?

Edit, i'm also thinking it should end up in the -30 offset area?

You had the 17" OE sport wheels to begin with right? I'm going to walk you through the math so that you'll get a better understanding of it. I'll see if I can't find a calculator that will show you visually what is happening as well.

Pretty close to that an 8.5" wide wheel with a -12 offset sits pretty flush with stock body
