Good question. I don’t know, it sounds like a good idea. Also wondering if I should do the ecgs right away? Also bump stops?

I honestly don’t know a lot about suspension but definitely am of the mind set of buy once, cry once.

buy once cry once is a good way to go. So here's the scoop as I see it, at 2 in of lift you should not need UCA's or bump stops or extended brake lines. Common wisdom dictates that the Tacoma's max out around 2.5 in of lift before needing serious modification. Anything higher than 2.5 you will definitely want aftermarket upper control arms, extended bump stops, extended brake lines. That being said, any good lift should also come with some form of carrier bearing drop for your drive shaft to keep the angles somewhat happy. some lifts also include axle shims for your rear axle to help with the driveline angles. Some people need these, some do not. That are relatively inexpensive and simple fix to help with driveline vibration if it should occur.

Accutune off road and toytec lifts both have a lot of good write-ups on various suspension components that you can get educated on.

    Was thinking of going Accutune.

2-2.5” was what I was shooting for. If I didn’t have to do those other things then great. In all honesty, like many of us, my truck is my dd and mall crawler but I do one or two trips to Colorado/New Mexico every year and also camp around here. Family of four loads up the truck pretty good with an RTT, shell, as well as bikes on most trips.
There isn’t much of anything that requires more than stock here in Wisconsin but when we do our road trips it gets a good load put on it.

Sounds like a good plan. Also those deaver leaf springs are top of the line.

You can do full suspension replacement with floor jack and jack stands. Ask me how I know... Lol. they're surprisingly not terribly difficult to do on these trucks. Id volunteer to help but I don't exactly live close... Lol

Unfortunately my angled driveways sucks and the bikes and bike parts in my garage prevent me from using my own space. Maybe someday the garage cleaning fairies will drop by my house.

I’m a noob and did it with a pair of jack stands. 2-3 hours for the front. Rear is quick if you don’t have issues getting the shocks off due to rusted nuts

rear leaves definitely took longer on mine than doing the front coilovers. Front coilovers didn't take but 20 minutes per side. undo the spindle nuts and the bottom drops out and you can literally just drop the old ones slide the new ones in both everything back up and you're done

My bro-in-law has a heated shop with a lift at his house by Merrimac and for a few bones will help you out. You can get an alignment at Nesses just across the River in Lodi after the lift is done if the ferry is open. That’s where I took mine when we finished it up.
Otherwise you will need to set something up in Sauk or Portage.

Have you heard good things about Ness auto service? Just read reviews and they look pretty good. I'm looking for a trustworthy alignment guy because I'm lazy

I agree, however, sometimes that UCA hinge bolt can a HUGE PITA to get out. I'd recommend installing it bolt head facing aft of the truck for future removal made easy!
