I've got about 25-30k on mine and have been great so far. Even off road they have surprised me and have very little chunking. Quiet on road with good manners in dry, wet and snow. I expect to get another 25-30k out of them which sucks because I want to move up to 295's but have to wait until these wear out. They are light for what they are too which was a selling point for me.

Per @Madjik_Man Reference I used Pellman's in Boulder for Transmission service when I lacked time to do it myself and I could litterally walk there from work. Was several years ago so don't remember what they charged but very friendly place.

I don't know of any shops that do shift kits. Kinda a rare thing on Toyota vehicles.

I'm out because of differentials and insulation/finishing currently. Trying to make it to where I can work in at least 60° temps through the winter. My old hands really can't handle it this year

    Don't machine flush it.
The transmission has a pump that works very well to pump fluid out. A pump sprayer works well to put it back in. Easy.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to fall back onto if/when I DIY. I was just thinking of seeking out quotes to compare to my materials cost and see if it is worth my time.

    Yup. Pellmans Automotive for sure.

It’s the only place I’ve brought my vehicles when I don’t have the time or knowhow.

Back flush machines aren't really a thing anymore. Most are passive fluid exchange type that run off the internal (transmissions) pump. Some of the more expensive machines have a pump to better match the 1:1 ratio of fluid exchange.

I'd 100% "flush" my transmission at a BG shop. I'd research any other machine being used if I went someplace else. The BG services are offered at many dealer and independent shops throughout the region

So, my "Gravity Drain and Fill" technique for both Transmission and Differentials is good to go?

I mean if you want to do a bunch of drain and fills, that is really similar to our refill tanks. The "flush" does a little better job of keeping the fluid mixing down. BG claims 90% new fluid compared to about 60% for 5 drain and fills (both 16quarts total). I actually argued this with one of the reps when our dealer went to their systems. We went to the BG training facilities in Golden and they proved their system to me on a co workers and my car of the difference was noticeable. Worth it? yes. I would gladly see a person doing it the manual way though as long as they are doing something.

They call it lifetime fluid because when it fails so does the transmission, if it made it out of warranty it lasted their intended lifetime.

"Drain and fills" would mix the fluids.
I disconnect the lines at the cooler and use the trans to pump out of one and the sprayer to pump in the other.
I don't quit until the fluid coming out looks exactly like the fluid going in. I'll defer to @thefatkid but I doubt there's much mixing going on this way. In fact, it sounds exactly like the poor man's version of his BG machine.

    @here

I have done the drain & fill & run till temp is reached then repeat process with valvoline maxlife worldstandard atf recently. No issues and it was an easy process after getting skid off and the plugs out. (Make sure you have the right size box wrench before hand).

Maybe a stupid question, but why bother filling a sprayer and "pumping" it in instead of just dropping a hose into a jug of new ATF and letting the vacuum pull it?

That was a stupid question but since I typed it, I'm leaving it here in case anyone has more feedback... You're flushing out the trans cooler, which is a passive device.

You must have mad pumping skills. I understand, many years of marriage and kids. I approve.

That is a very similar method. If you have a difference in fluid temperature they will resist mixing even more.
