I like my pro comp mt2s, especially if you have to drive it to the trail. They are also reasonably priced.

Shrugs...I just think there are better options out there than Interco if you are rock crawling instead of playing in the mud with a bunch of wheel speed rock bouncer style. Not to mention they struggle to make beads the correct diameter or round tires.

I thought about Trail Grapplers and Krawlers too but the price point is tough on both. $400 for the Nitto is tough to swallow when it doesn't share the same tread as the 40" and $500 for the undersized blue label loses to Treps at that price point.

Those were the toyos that were kicking ass in the wet and sucking in the dry, I got the pro comps since then. I hated those toyos almost as much as my SSRs, those SSRS take the cake as the worst tire I have ever had on any vehicle both on an offroad.

    Yep, they worked great there!

I liked my Pitbulls when I had them and they do work well. But I'm not sure I'd put another set on my truck given their supply chain and pricing issues...not to mention the distinctly B52 noise from them

I agree with everything you said. People don't generally run tsl/sx to rock crawl or to just play in the mud. Just like people weigh their options for what they desire (or think they desire) the SX beats out most tires in the southeast region for a combination of reasons, none of which are street related and/or specifically the best at "fill in the blank". Weight, price, avaliablilty, even the look of the tire go into people's options list. You know this. You can not like them for any reason you choose or find reasons to be in love. I just don't see the argument for saying, from a pure wheeling stand point in the area I live and wheel, that there are any more than a handful of tires equal or better.

Yeah the 40" grappler is def a different tire than the other sizes. I havent heard so much praise for them outside of that size but they do share some characteristics so they may be list worthy. And the Krawkers are arguably the greatest pure rock tire of all time and maybe just generally one of the best offroad tires of all time. I don't see the comparison to them and Treps, especially after seeing the Treps in action (we're not talking comp tires as those are completely different and I'm still talking this region, not Australian outback from which Treps were designed).

I know right? I really think it was a combo of them being a mile wide, my truck being relatively light (I don't have 5000lbs of overlander chotchkies) and on 15" wheels causing them not to hook up... Now I'm on 12.5s and 17s and things work much better. Plus those toyos are hard as hell.

Krawlers would be sick. Curious how small they measure though, I've heard 37=35 in krawlers and creepys
