Haha don't mind me just driving along with a 6lb propane tank in my bed at all times. Interesting to know this existed. I want to move my propane outside

I doubt anything bad will happen, but this is more for piece of mind since I'll be sleeping/working in there regularly. I'm actually moving away from the bucket idea as it's an inefficient use of space. Looking to get a custom lexan box or aluminum box made to fit my 5lb tank - sadly I can't find any off-the-shelf toolboxes, etc that fit exactly how I need them to...what's another $200 at this point - ugh. Anything for safety?

I considered mounting outside, but I don't have a good spot and would otherwise need to buy a new bumper - seems like an insane way to spend $1500-2k just for propane placement ha!

I'm not familiar with Portland beers but I'm thinking I should grab some for back home. Can you all give me your opinions on your favorites? I put my 50% deposit down a few weeks back so I think I'll be getting the call soon.

    Thanks man!

There’s a place called ABV in Hillsboro, OR not very far from Portland that sells all the local beers if you want to buy it all in one shot.

Sep 15 was the initial $500 deposit and then Dec 23 was when they asked for the 50% deposit. Then 4 weeks later which is today I got contacted for the install date.

If you need to stretch legs on the drive up, Caldera Brewing in Ashland is excellent. Too bad the restaurant/brewery will probably be closed but looks like you can pick up M-F. Their barrel aged beers are excellent.

In Portland I like Hair of the dog and Upright. Check out Upright if you like saisons and farmhouse ales.

The older I get, the more I enjoy barrel-aged beers. I'm getting so fancy in my old age.

Awesome to hear! I was 9/25 for $500 deposit and 50% on Jan 7. Hopefully the timeline stays consistent, if so I'd be looking at mid-Feb install.

On another note since this hasn’t been answered yet (from what I recall). I am going to leave my Prinsu rack on during install to see if it fits on 3rd Gens. Worse case I’ll take it off if it doesn’t. I’ll make sure to bring some caulking with me to seal the holes if needed lol!
