    I took some physics in High Scool and University.....What kind of questions? toss them out there and I am sure you will get some answers!

    I have an answer, just wondering what you guys get:

    You push a 45kg wooden crate up a ramp that makes an angle of 22deg to the horizontal at a constant speed. The coefficient of kinetic friction for the crate and ramp is .385. (a) How much work have you done if you push it a distance of 10.5m up the ramp? (b)What is the potential energy for the crate relative to the base of the ramp?

    Yeah, the campus that I'm at has a SHIT physics program. It's called Scale Up. DO NOT GO TO ANY SCHOOL THAT HAS THAT AS THEIR PROGRAM!

    Let me explain why it sucks:

    You're never taught physics. Really. It's do worksheets and try and figure it out, while the people who run the course say "draw a FBD" and then they expect that to make it easier.

    Work is in Joules....

    Here is my work for (A) F=< coefficient of friction x force of normal

    Fn=sin22deg(450)x.385
    Force up the ramp = 64.90N??

    W=Fr
    W= 64.90x10.5
    W=681.45J

    This is what I got for A

    The force needed to push the crate up the incline the force applied must be:
    F = mg*sin(Q)+Ff = Fg*sin(Q)+Fg*cos(Q)*mu
    = 45*9.81sin(22) + 45*9.81cos(Q)*0.385

    F=323 N

    To calculate work, multiply the the force applied by the distance moved.
    W=F*d=323*10.5

    W=3391 J

    For part b multiply the mass by gravity and height

    45*9.81*10.5sin(22)=1736.4 N

    Find the angles if the system is at rest.
