I just remembered an incident that particularly pissed me off at the time; There’s this girl I’ve known since 11th grade (2006), and I’ve had a very flaky relationship with her for reasons too numerous to list...

This particular incident took place in 2010 or 2011; At the time, I hadn’t seen this girl for several months, and I was at college eating lunch if I remember correctly. She sent out a group text saying she was running out of gas and needed money to get more, and basically begging for whatever money she could get.

I thought she had a lot of nerve, especially considering we weren’t particularly close, and I promptly gave her a piece of my mind. I told her that I sympathized with her for not having gas money, but that she wasn’t driving me anywhere, and as a result it was not really my problem; I also told her that if she “pulled this shit with me again”, we would have a problem...

This girl got her driver’s license well after she turned sixteen, but before I got mine; This was sometime in 2010 or 2011 just like the gas money incident. The plan was for her to pick me up and we would join some of her friends at Applebee’s or something; She texted me out the blue, within an hour of when she was supposed to pick me up, and said that she was going to be letting her friend who had a learner’s permit practice. I had a huge problem with getting in a car with a student driver, and basically said that either she was driving or I was driving, or I wasn’t going; I had a learner’s permit at the time, too...

She didn’t seem to see have any problem with letting an inexperienced driver behind the wheel of her 2003 Ford Taurus, so I blew off the outing.

What would you have done? Absolutely nobody I know (other than her) has ever texted me out of the blue and asked for gas money...

We’ve all heard of “crazy cat ladies”, though there crazy people who are obsessed with numerous types of domestic animals...

This girl is what I would describe as a crazy horse lady; The difference between cats and dogs, and a horse, is that as long as one of the former does have any unexpected vet bills, cats and dogs are not terribly expensive to own. I know a lot of relatively poor people who own dogs and cats, and they don’t have any problem paying to care for them...

Owning a horse, on the other hand, is more expensive than owning a BMW! One of the reasons I drifted apart from this girl is because she was very stubborn and living in a fantasy land. She lived in a shitty apartment and all of her money went towards the horse she couldn’t afford and the aging Nissan that was falling apart, while her rich dad paid for everything else.

She had a job; Far as I know she’s been employed since she was like 15, but read above about the horse...

A regular cab Taco is NOT an ideal grocery getter!

    8FCB092E-A2B8-4222-9084-411359DAB2BF.jpg

When I was working at Puck, I’d regularly cram all sorts of restaurant supplies from Benjamin Foods (including cases of napkins and paper towels) into the bed of my truck; Everything was packed so tightly that there was no risk of it blowing away...

Not gonna attempt that this time because it’s windy and there’s not enough merchandise to “cram” into the bed!

Likely not gonna burn any of it driving around this weekend though because it’s supposed to be cold and I don’t want to go into peoples’ houses due to COVID.

Got a new Star Wars PS4 game and probably gonna spend the weekend playing that...

Wow. I haven’t seen a magnet do that kind of damage/discolouration. Based on the reflections in the paint, your paint looks to be in good condition too. I’d be surprised if polish helps at all. My best advice would be to find another sticker and cover it up.

And it only did it to the passenger side! There is a spot on my tailgate where you can see evidence of my Autism Awareness ribbon magnet with that magnet removed, but it's nowhere near as bad as this; I've managed to polish out evidence left by the autism magnet in the past.

Good thing I like my police flag magnets and have no plans to get rid of them unless they fade and wear out with time, and I have to replace them!

Also, the truck was involved in two separate accidents (one my fault and one not) that required repainting. The left rear fender was totally destroyed when a drunk driver in a Mercedes ran a stop sign and hit the truck; The whole fender had to be replaced, and obviously that new fender had to be repainted. I sideswiped a Prius while changing lanes and dented the front left fender. The fender was repainted; If you look at my truck, you can tell the slight difference in paint hue. The body shop's work is actually of a higher caliber than the Toyota factory paintjob! My truck has probably spent less than a week of its entirely life in a garage, though I do wash it fairly often; I am amazed that the paint still looks this good after more than eleven years!

So a friend of mine who has AS and is a bigger HVAC nut than I am confirmed my suspicions; My boss's Kenmore is early 2000s (specifically 2001-2003)...
