Hope not. Bob didn't seem the type to have his feelings easily hurt.

I did get the impression he was sorta sensitive. He PM'd me once saying he hoped he didn't hurt my feeling. I told him if he did I didn't notice. Then I had to hope I didn't hurt his. :angrygirl:

I was thinking of getting these same ones. You said you like them so far? I saw another member say he helped with the noise in the cabin. Agree/disagree?
I contemplated not getting them because they're Pro, but they just exactly what I'm looking for (thick rubber).

I haven’t really noticed a difference in noise. Nor do I think I pay attention to that. I do like the coverage and the rubber. That and they were actually cheaper than Husky and Weathertech so that was a positive. The coverages are different but it does exactly what I want and need from them.

Girlfriend got me a truxedo sentry ct, Purolator managed to lose it so she filed a case and they closed the case with it unfound. She ended up getting a refund on it, then it showed up in the door step yesterday. So her Christmas surprise to me was a little bit of a dud but how can you complain about a free tonneau cover. Since today was only -2 her and I took the time to install it today.PXL_20210121_214710521.jpg

Thanks man. I had these on my ‘17 and left the overload leafs in because of the weight of the shell. I’ll be measuring the thickness of the leafs before installing since I only have a tonneau cover and about 50 lbs of tools in the bed. A lot less than the 400 or so pounds the shell weighed (ACLB). Would like to maintain a smooth ride and am thinking without much weight in the back it might be a harsh ride.

The times we spoke, he was not sensitive. Great love for God, Country and family. A real top quality guy. The kind of person you wished was your neighbor.

Oh, I forgot to post my milestone from yesterday. Sadly, it took 23 months.

I installed the AUX Beam controller my wife bought me. I wasn't sure where I wanted to mount the switch in the cab. I ended up taking the little bin out of the switch panel on the left side of the steering wheel, ran the cable through that opening, then put screws in to hold the controller in place from the inside of the switch housing so it would look clean. It's hard to tell in the picture but I used the mounting bar that came with the controller as a template to mark the screw hole distance, drilled them out, and used a couple of the included screws. The OEM switch panel has some ridges at the exact distance where the screw holes would line up so I had to dremel those down. I mis-measured a bit the first go around and it ended up sitting to high so I had to drill a second set of holes a little lower.
The one thing I don't care for about this kit is that the plastic cover that comes with the circuit breaker presses the reset button whenever I put it on and breaks the circuit so I just left it off. Hopefully that doesn't create a weather proof problem. I may just cut the top off of the case over that button and be done with it.

To be honest, I would be more worried about him personally than if someone said something that hurt his feelings. I don't know him well, of course, but he was always a gentleman and on more than one occasion his reaction to someone who was being a jerk or rude was to just put them on ignore -- and announce that he was doing so. So I have to assume no one chased him away because we would be more likely to push back and then ignore them.

    Fingers crossed ...

Did they test drive it or did you just tell them it hunted at 55-65? The Toyota dealer told me they'd have to replicate the issue and if they couldn't I'd have to pay $160 diagnosis fee. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it is annoying enough that I hit the ECT button. I offered to pay the 1/2 hour labor fee and the service advisor said no. I wasn't pleased.

Really don't understand that approach. It would take them longer to verify the problem than to just install the darn update.
