Without seeing the accidents who can say.

Have you always driven vehicles with ABS brakes to this truck then maybe

After Years of driving without ABS I hate them because my Braking technique is all muscle memory and the feel of the road.

Not a big fan either, I hate that pulsing feeling you get through the brake pedal.

The Tacoma was never equipped with a 2-wheel ABS system. If equipped with ABS, it functions on all 4 wheels' braking.

I think the OP was trying to say was the lack of ABS brakes the cause of his accidents or just poor driving??

I don't know why you'd care, the ABS on 1st gen Tacomas is terrible. You can modulate the brake pedal faster with your foot. In contrast any Honda made in the last 25 years modulates the brakes so fast it sounds like a full-auto machine gun at the slightest wheel slippage.

    Possible to retrofit ABS? Yes.

Worth it? Absolutely not. The ABS system on these trucks are notoriously bad, and people commonly delete them.
