    Anytime backup + front.

Was looking into purchasing this along with the Joying:

Back when I bought it there was not an option for "premium camera". Maybe the image quality is significantly better... IDK.
Maybe someone else can chime in.
The head unit is quirky sometimes, but 1000 times better than stock.
I think any issue you run into can be solved here with this thread.

Yes. All day yesterday in the desert with my polarized Oakley's. Very satisfied.
I waited until working out the bugs with Nushield before posting here.
Wouldn't want to steer you guys wrong.
Installation is the same as any other screen protector (just bigger). Be particular about dust (see what I did there?).

Thanks, I wasn't clear if you had just ordered or gotten a chance to test it.

I'll put in an order for that this week, and I need to look at a front camera. It's a yellow RCA input for video in, unless that's being used for the rear camera? I honestly don't remember. I would think if you supplied it constant power you could just switch to the source on the head unit and not worry about taking up a switch spot.

I've reached out to Nushield to see if they want to post a discount code here. I'll update if they send me something.
I had the anytime camera before upgrading the head unit, so I already had the switch installed.
If you're looking for additional switch ports, check out Meso Customs here https://mesocustoms.com/collections/3d-printed-products
They offer custom panels for Tacos.

Ordered! Will report back with my findings... though it's constant rain right now in the PNW, not sure when I'll have shades on!

On another topic, I have not updated my headunit since I installed in back in June(ish). I assume the update process is simple via USB, does anyone know if there are instructions on how to perform an update on Joying's website (or elsewhere)?

Fingers crossed updating is for the better and doesn't create unwanted issues... ultimately I want to fix the random phone disconnects that happen when using carplay and on a phone call (iphone)

Awesome, I'll give it a go soon. Aside from the occasional phone disconnect from the carplay app I truly believe this is the best upgrade I have done to the truck!

It took four days for this NuShield to go from picked up to the local post office, then it hasn't been seen since.

Guess I'll need to contact for a replacement.

Finally showed up today, and I'll be damned it does work. Have to find a couple minutes to actually install it.

Many thanks to everyone contributing to this thread!

I've been lurking for a while, and seeing your successes with the Joying HU made me decide to go get one for myself. Seems to work great with the factory camera, CANBUS, and a cheap OBDII ELM327 reader, but the Z-link Carplay/android auto USB connection seems to drop signal frequently... except when the truck is parked, making it annoying to diagnose, but also making me think its a hardware-related issue. When my dad drove my truck he said the wireless Carplay paired instantly and didn't drop a single time, maybe I just gotta switch teams once my Galaxy S9 dies:rofl:

Has anyone tried reinforcing the USB connections on the back side of the head unit? Tempted to pull the HU out and cram a bunch of hot glue or Sugru around the USB ports with the cables plugged in, in the hopes of reducing vibration and load on the USB cables mating into the USB ports.

Had the same issue but turned out to be an issue with the port on my phone. I would verify there are no issues with your phone and try a few different cables first before messing with the HU.

Absolutely, I had the same thoughts too. I've tried a few cables from different vendors, switched usb inputs on the HU, cleaned out my phone's port, also tried a few different phones over USB... they all disconnect occasionally. I also sanity checked by testing my devices against my work truck's Sony XAV-AX200...no problems there. I'll keep experimenting.
Would be curious if anyone using the USB connection for accessing flash drives has had any issues like this, or if its just when using Zlink.

Do you have 1 or 2 usb ports on the back of the headunit? perhaps try the other one.
