Y'all have made this way more complicated than "find the green/yellow wire" as described in the other thread that was linked in like the second post.

If your sole intention is to eliminate the DTRLs, cut the wire and return that part you bought. You'll save money and get the same outcome. I went a step further and put them on a switch so that I can enable them if I want.

The sole intention is to have bright AF LED turn signals and be able to do cool SmartTap flasher things that your truck doesn’t do.

BTY @ryanjboutin, by removing the original relay you've lost the towing circuits of Left & Right Stop/Turn or not, depends on which relay was there. (2 choices)

ryanjboutin, did you get it to work on your truck? I have a 2013 TRD sport and would love to get this to work.

That is what the harness does, adds a trio of mini relays for DRL, and the 2005+ towing converter module returns the towing lights. The Towing converter would pass the strobe/wig wag feature to the trailer too.

Just for the people who don’t understand, I’m a cop and work side jobs where I end up parked in a dark corner throughout the night, I’d like to turn off the DRL, that’s my reasoning. truck is a 14, I don’t intend to ever sell it, so I’m in the “cut the wire” camp. I cannot for the life of me get my bear paws behind the fuse panel, however I found a green wire with a red tracer plugged into the front of the panel. I tried to de-pin it, but I don’t have a small enough screw driver to get in there and pop it loose. Can anyone tell me if this is the proper wire that I need to cut? First picture shows the wire in its home, closest one to you, second is the receiver for the plug circled in green. It’s the middle plug on the panel, closest to the steering wheel.

Where do I get this 2005+towing convertermodule link or part number please. I don’t want to loose my trailer signals.

My goal is to disable the drl install the smart tap to utilize all those functions but I still pull a trailer and need my turn signals.

The OEM harness the Tacoma has would have to be removed from the its connection on the Body ECU. The side where the LED flasher would go is the same as the harness removed. The connector to the original flasher/drl would not be used. The wires would be reused. The location of the 2nd Gen towing converter could be secured in same location as the original flasher/drl. You need a connector to mate the LED flasher and a connector to the towing converter. An additional mating set (same kind as for the LED flasher) for the required DRL duplication relay trio.

    This what your Taco has:
    upload_2021-1-22_13-24-20.jpg
Remove the connections to the vehicle and remove the "T" harness. (82241-04060) and remove the Turn/DRL relay.
    upload_2021-1-22_13-26-57.jpg
De-pin the connector to T20, set connector aside with the removed relay.
    upload_2021-1-22_13-28-57.jpg
All the wires from 1L will go to new connector 90980-10799, this mates to the LED Flasher.
Don't insert the wires into connector yet. You will tap and heat shrink into the ground, fused ign, and fused battery wires before inserting the terminals into new connector.
    upload_2021-1-22_13-34-3.jpg
On connector 1M you'll need to assemble 2 wires with male and female on each end. These go into 1M and into another connector of the same type as for the LED flasher.
    upload_2021-1-22_13-35-36.jpg
This is your finished harness. (without the DRL relay part)
