Granted I wasn't really looking. Was a bit preoccupied avoiding the canyon-esque potholes up here. Can't wait to get back to the glassy smooth streets of KC

Smooth is not a word Id associate with any road in MO, I'm sure up there was worse though.

Only road I'd call smooth was 35 coming into Texas. 80mph speed limit made the truck feel like it was floating.

 

Northern/eastern Georgia had some nice roads when I was there in 07 and 15. Damn good riding.

 

Roads on base in GA weren't bad. Haven't been outside of there at all except to and from the airport.
Good ol' Sand Hell Ft Benning, GA.....

I think they beat the hell out of useless sheet metal and fiber-composite. Aussies seem to think so. What happens to all of their truck beds?

Montana and Wyoming have a few roads like that. They're red asphalt too. Kinda neat.

 

The late Jeff said he only went LT for when he had to drive to MO. @Sociopenguin just got it to haul his pop up camper on MO roads.

 

I could go either way. A regular bed is easy for most people. But a properly equipped flatbed is way more versatile.

 

I could only wish for something half as solid as the Aussie ute tray market over here. We're really missing out.
