Yes this is correct. But the truck does run very fuel efficient cruising in 6th at light load. Its just the huge jump in rpms to 4th or 3rd when you need even just a gnats fart worth of oomph is annoying to many. It also doesn’t help that the shifting logic is slow and often poorly timed.

There is Solenoid SLU. Monitor it with TC lock.
For example, in 4th you see Slu=1, TC=0 quite often. But in 5th you see these 2 only during the shift to 5th or when let the foot off.
In 5th I only see both on and was testing settings to get TC off while SLU is on. Only managed to turn both off
As I said before, it seems the partial lock is working in 5th under CC

I agree. 6th gear has its place when running 3.90 rear gears and 33"+ tires.

    Situations such as:

Driving downhill, with the wind, results in excellent fuel economy.

    End.

Yessir. Running that linear. Toning down my Throttle limits 1st and 2nd gear from 0 -16.xx Eliminated the twitchy throttle on slow bumpy sections.

What PIDs do you guys use to examine throttle and accelerator angle in the context of shift schedules? I've got relative and absolute throttle positions but nothing for accelerator. I'm guessing "Relative accelerator pedal position" and "Accelerator Position (%)"?

Hmmm interesting I never thought of going negative.. also if you put your throttle limit max over 100 it will go to whatever you want.

Here is how TC partial lock is working with CC On in 5th (1st image).
    Fully unlocked in 5th.
here is tc unlocking 5th gear 1-4. My change that fully unlocks Tc is in D is the value in 45*. Seems working in CC

in CC, there is no accelerator, Only the throttle. None of the TC tables have the throttle header.

VF commanded throttle actuator and throttle position = Toyota's throttle motor duty ration.
Relative throttle postion= Toyota's throttle sensor position, which is 0 at idle.
VF does not yet have toyota's PIDS, including the accelerator position.

This seems to be spot on for shift points. Wish I had this earlier

    No, no, no...
Not negative. That's just a hyphen. I changed the values in the 0 : 16.xxx range.

Edit: To be more specific, this range of values were lowered from a much higher than "stock" setting. Truck was twitchy at 5-10 mph off road and sometimes even just rough roads just putting around. "Uber sensitive"

On stock tires you can add flats, with the wind. The end. Lol

So far 50ish miles into flash:
Map 3 has improved shift transitions, over Map 1. Map 2 does not seem as "responsive" in the higher gear / load range, especially in the 2k rpm area, as Map 3. Still time needed for things to settle though.

    Vlad,

So you were able to shut off SLU?

I've been trying everything to eliminate slip lock in 3rd, but I can't get it... Even maxing every table in 3rd and that thing still slip locks and is so annoying on light acceleration.

I was able to eliminate all locking in 4th gear (as a test) but it wont work for 3rd gear.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    John

Only in 5th for a very narrow range.
I'm playing with 4th to keep it off until upshift to 5th. It does mess up with acceleration in 4th
