My first "mod' was floor mats. If you're in dirt/dust/mud, and yours is coming with standard (or none in my case) floor mats, this may be more useful for you initially.

 

Mine has the all weather mats

Here's one where the dealer went one better, sold it, delivered it, next day asked for it back. Why anyone wants a Ford, much less wants it back, is beyond me.

Edit to add, with perfect hindsight, how this conversation should have gone:

Salesman " We need that truck we sold you back, it was a floor model"
Me " Let me go talk to my manager and see what kind of deal I can get you"

 

Ford let him keep it. If I were him, I would throw that on Autotrader with a $20k mark up and sell it.

Been following along with your story. Since you handled the situation well (with the help of the good people on TW) your good Karma will reward you with a better truck for less money. Sounds like a big 'ol bag of dicks to me. I agree with @Tacosrus , they can't be trusted, ask for a refund and find a new dealer. I'd take it one step further and write a letter to the senior management at the dealership summarizing what happened and stating you decided to take your business elsewhere. I'm sure that will draw attention to the minions who are conducting poor business ethics. And if you really want to drive your point to the dealership home, send a copy of the letter to Jim Lentz.
