IDK it'd be the first real offroad trip for it. I may not bring it just because I can run 80mph without it on the way up and not get 10mpg. With just me and the pup ground camping won't be a problem either though.

If it’s just the two of you yeah. It’s going to be me and dog and I’ll be ground/RTT/cab

did they already say no go for Memorial Day weekend?

selfishly if it’s august then the weekend around August 9th works - I have that day off in RI.

Those roads will kill your truck. they are smooth as glass in the winter. My OME shocks go rock blasted no paint left on them. The washboard is horrific at times.

Lol. My truck will be fine, the trailer is the thing that hasn't been offroaded.

Memorial day is out. Mostly because I already have a trip scheduled and the uncertainty of going to Maine then anyway.

Aug 9 is the weekend after RC takeover, so probably also out.

It's definitely a test of your truck. But not so long as the AlCan if you break something.

bollocks. That’s fine - I can work with other weekends. However that just means I’ll have to think about making out to Rauschenberg

So there’s 50 pages here... can someone fill me in? I’d like to join but not sure what the plan is here. I see the date isn’t set yet but is there any thoughts, any idea how long, destinations, etc? Thanks

I was going to go last year but that one obviously was canceled.

Same plan as last year: going to the trains in the forest. probably stopping at the b52 crash.

I'm thinking September? maybe labor day? Dates TBD based on when the Maine covid restrictions are lifted.

I may be up for a weekend journey up there in a few months, working on getting the RTT first.

To keep with the memorial day tradition we were trying to start, maybe we could run a trip without you if maine us open. I mean we would miss you ( or at least your dog) but if there is enough interest it might be worth sticking with that weekend.

I may road trip to yellowstone this year, haven't decided yet. Depends on covid restrictions I suppose. May wait till next year if I need to book a campsite somewhere.

We did the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone last summer, covid had most of the visitor centers closed, but the smaller crowds was well worth it.

I might be hitting Amarillo in March
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/big-texan-tw-pilgrimage-new-management-new-poll.694857/
I'm planning on this one still, need to get the buy-off from work, and I would do a cannonball run trip (but not timed). Go from RI out to CT, hit up red ball on the way down, from there likely DC, TN, AR, out to Amarillo, then out to Denver, Vegas, Portofino in LA, then back along the southern part of the country - Santa Fe, Phoenix, El Paso out to Houston, along the gulf coast, then home from there. I end that at about Houston since March 20-30th timeframe would be spring break o_O and I have zero intention of spending time on party beaches.

And then I am also thinking sometime in the summer doing a trip from home (RI) out to Niagara falls (maybe??) out along the northern coast along Lake Eerie in Ohio (underrated area!), up Michigan and go up to UP and back down the western side of the lake, then back around and home. should be a 5 day trip at the most.

Otherwise my trips this summer will be little'uns up to NE Kingdom, central NH, Maine, etc.
