Anyone in NE Ohio that I can hear a speaker upgrade on factory HU?

I’m debating on doing a full upgrade on my 2014 trd sport dbcb non jbl sound system but before I enter those waters I’d like to hear what I can get for considerably less.

I live in Broadview Heights and am willing to drive a bit to check it out.

I think it’s worth the effort.

Best bang for buck when beginning upgrades.

1. Replace factory stereo. This provides more power and ability to tune.

2. Treat the doors. This reduces panel flex, which allows your speakers to perform more efficiently.

Replacing speakers first is a rookie mistake IMO.

 

I don't have upgraded speakers but awesome to see another Ohioan on here, there's not too many of us

 

I'm around the Dayton area. I spent waaaay too much doing audio upgrades over January and February. I'll offer you some advice from what I learned.

1. The headunit is a must if you are going to want subs. The high-line splicers from Entune sucks, and you'll end up replacing them anyway. If you get a head unit, consider a Pioneer NEX 9xxx series, as they are a good fit for your model and have a ton of cool features. They will run you $900, however.
2. The stock speakers should be in a Gameboy. The magnet is the size of the end of your thumb. JBL makes some nice speakers called the "Stadium" series that will blend well in your truck. You can get them from Crutchfield on sale right now for something like $150 per pair. They are insanely easy to change, but be sure to buy a few door clips in case you break one or two reassembling the panel.
3. Buy some
   $107 Subaru Genuine Tweeter Kit Kicker WRX STi Forester Crosstrek Impreza H631SFJ101
   Subaru tweeters for the upper stage replacement of your dash tweeters, with direct plug and play.
   
4. There is a bar under your passenger seat that is a pain in the ass if you are trying to mount an amp or a small sealed sub under there. You can take your seat out and flip that bar up to give yourself more space. Just FYI there.
5. Don't buy some under seat subwoofers thinking they will satisfy you. They will not. Just buy a real subwoofer, preferably a 12"+.
6. Your truck can push a little over 2000 watts before that alternator starts to die and needs replaced with a big brother.
7. Lastly, if you can afford it, sound deadening is awesome for your audio, and for making calls from the truck. I can drive on the interstate and I don't hear anything outside of the truck.

Am here in mentor, and like others posted do the head unit swap first. I did out of necessity when my stock wouldn't connect to make phone call. So I put in a jvc unit that has sirius, spotify, iheart, pandora in unit and it sounds way better. Recently put in a set of hertz x690 haven't bought tweeters cause they will be hertz as well still deciding on what tweeters to go with. Hope this helps
