    hey there,

have a quad super white 2010 4x4 6 speed. wanting a small lift. dont do hardcore offroading and the taco is my DD. Whats a good lift size? like a 1.5? 1.75? also wondering if i should just do spacers...

Don't do spacers unless you don't mind compromising your ride substantially.

Billstein 5100's are the way to go.

i vote 5100's at 2.5". 1.75" seems hardly noticeable IMO, but whatever you go with, don't get spacers! OME is also a great option.

but then he'd have to spend another $600 on uca's.

    Nah, I disagree.

3" doesn't seem like much, but it's pushing our little trucks pretty hard.

20% of folks lifting 3" experience VSC issues.

    3" needs UCAs.

    3" makes the ride stiffer/harsher.

3" much more likely to get driveline vibes.

OP: I think your 1.75" with 5100s is probably a good choice. Personally, I don't like "levelled" and think a truck needs a little rake for carrying cargo, so I'd put a 1.5" AAL in the back to match up with the 5100s.

265/75R16 is a good tire size to run with that. Most folks won't think you've modified your truck, they'll just think "it looks really good."

Ok so 1.75 sounds good then. A little unclear on how it goes. a 1.75 in front and a 1.5 in the back?

Thanks alot for the input guys. I definately dont want to lose too much of the ride so i wont just do spacers.

Sometime in the last month someone created a thread asking for that. If you look for it you can probably turn it up.

It's all plus or minus about half an inch anyway. We're measuring springs with weight on them here. ;) And out of the box, the truck typically has about 2" of rake. So within the tolerance of the measurement, you're lifting the front and back roughly the same amount here.

ok.. now im back to my original idea of getting the adjustable 5100s instead of the 3" lift due to money.. ha .. so i can set the front at 1.75 and that will almost be almost level right? (i dont want the rake) but if i set them at 1.75 will i need uca or anything? i thought i read somewhere you couldnt run it that high? i just dont want it to add stress to anything or break anything.. and i still want to be able to run something over..

Im at 1.75 up front with no alignment issues, so no need for UCA's with this set up for me at least every truck is a little different

Here is the same set up with different tires. Didn't have any other side shots on flat ground with these tires.

thanks. if the dealership had my truck in green i would have bought it but they didn't so i ended up with the grey.

i dont see any 4x4 green double cabs out here but i sure see a lot of greys.
