Hey everyone. My tacoma has some pretty bad steering play in it. Can basically just sit there and wiggle it side to side without and resistance maybe like an inch or so. Anyone experienced this?

Is your steering rack leaking? How does your intermediate shaft ujoint look? Tie rod ends?

I have no idea. Not super familiar with all the parts but I'll look into it tomorrow.

Get someone to move the steering wheel back and forth while you look under it and see what's got play in it, if you can't see anything you will have to raise the front end and put it on jack stands and wiggle the tires back and forth and up and down and see what's loose.

When's the last time you had an alignment done?

I'd start there. I usually have one done once a year, after deer season. I find that driving around in the mud swamps loosens my front end up pretty quickly.
