Just a rebadged LC100. I see a few of them in UT. Not nearly as many as the Toyota badged version.

I think they're fewer and further between when it comes to the availability. I think @Bubbles was originally looking at this route before he found the GX

I personally think the LX looks better than the GX470 but I'd take either one. I wonder how the aftermarket support is for the LX.

It's quite good, because its just a fancy 100 Series Land Cruiser. It does seem the support is starting to dwindle a little bit for them in favor of the GX platform now though. I think the LX hit a price point that people went to the GX instead, and that shows in the rising resale prices of the 470/460.

I see a lot of built LX470s in the PNW. I almost bought one but the wife said it’s too old

But I’m glad I went with the GX 460.

Plenty of A/M support for LX/LC100. Ironman, dobinsons, OME, Bilstein, Icon, etc make lift kits. Limited choices when it comes to sliders, skid plates, bumpers. The build quality is higher on the LX. It is Toyota's flagship SUV. It costs more and was designed to be their best. I absolutely love mine and I'd sell the GX before the LX if I had to choose. Oh and in the back is a tailgate instead of a barn door.

Thanks for the feedback. Do they both drive and ride similar?

the 100s are good but not great like everyone makes them out to be. Heavy AF, less backseat room, piss poor mpg, etc

Not really. LX is like the smoothest tank you ever rode in, heavy. It shows in acceleration and handling. GX much faster off the line.

Agree aside from the Less backseat room? The LX is far wider. GX seems taller inside. Can fit 3-4 full size adults in the middle row of the LX.

I've heavily considered one when I sell my Tacoma, but dang man, they are still very expensive compared to a 10-13 GX.

I just saw a 2006 LC with 252k on FB for $19,500....that's just absurd.

Yeah that’s crazy. My 13 GX with half the mileage and in very good condition was slightly less expensive.

Bought the 01 LX $9,500, 215k miles, less than a year ago. GX for $5800, had 220k miles. LX and GX 470 will go to 300k miles easily.

It seems like the price gap is closing as the GX get more popular. The one I linked above is mint. Possibly too nice to beat up on the trail. It was at $13,900. high mileage unit is priced at $5,500. We're all aware the 2UZ-FE can run a very long time.

    I'd want a 2003-2005 with the 5spd trans and non-vvti.

Doesn't your 06 have VVTI? I drove an 05 Tundra a few weeks ago and I must say there was a noticeable increase in power over my non VVTI Tundra. Those damn air pumps failing are annoying though.
