I wasn't disagreeing with you. I just noticed your profile says you have an 06 so I was asking if your GX had VVTI. The vehicle I mentioned driving was a TUNDRA. The 1st gen Tundra's got VVTI in 05.

Those shitty air pumps/valves are pervasive thru most all 05+ Toyota models. Bypassed mine on the GX with the Hewitt kit. Helps I’m also a resident of a non-inspection state/county.

Dropped the GX off with @01Tac0ma at lunch. Can't wait to see the finished products!

I have the Hewitt kit as well, haven't put it on...I'm thinking that if I end up pulling the engine I may get his emulator kit and just remove the shit all together.

Probably the best way to go. Apparently the v1 bypass can still throw a rare fault under cold temp start conditions which I don’t really entirely understand but he describes in his website. The full emulators he now has seem to solve all the issues.

    but when they do though....

I have new seals. Was planning on going ahead and replacing them. Figure it’s my luck I’d get the TB/WP done and they’d blow out and I’d have to do all that shit over again.

These weathertech mats don’t fit for shit in the front. I’m letting them bake in the sun to see if that will help mold them better, but so far they are not meeting my expectations.

That’s very surprising. Every WT set I’ve had (6-8 different vehicles) have never had an issue. I really like the Oedro mats I got in my T4R and just wish they made an option for the GX

I have heard they don’t fit. That’s why I went with a different brand.

If we could just have some husky x-acts that would be great. I saw a photo of someone using the 460 husky’s with slight modification in a 470.

I hate the WTs. On top of that I hate I went with the tan color. Should’ve done black even in my tan interior.

Agreed. The gray WT's that I bought don't really match. Black would've been much better. I have black WT's in my Taco w/gray interior and I think it looks much better.

I got black ones. I’ll give them a few days to settle since they’ve been boxed up for who knows how long.

I’ll end up just keeping these. Not like it’s my daily or anything.
