A 5 GHz network can carry more data than a 2.4 GHz network and is technically faster (assuming the electric power to the higher frequency radio is maintained at a higher level). 5 GHz radios support higher maximum data rates in network standards 802.11n, 802.11ac, and 802.11ad. Home devices that generate or consume the largest amount of network traffic, like video streaming units or game consoles, generally run fastest over 5 GHz links.

my internet is capped at 80mb/s, so again it's no faster. I've tested both.

Most of our stuff is wired anyway except for our phones and 1 apple tv upstairs.

Nothing is wired at my house except the surveillance hard drive. I've got almost 40+ wireless devices though so gotta have that juice.

If it can be wired, it gets wired. Luckily I have a basement, so I drilled through the framing and added ethernet jacks to every room.

the only way you can mess up chicken thighs is if you under/over cook them. I usually cook to 165-170F and they'll carryover about 5* more. I used to not eat them, but lately it's the only cut of bird I cook.

I just wanted something cheap with a higher fat content for the first cook, but yeah, thighs are my jam. Dark meat all the way.

People cook thighs b/c you cant fuck it up. Dark meat, unlike breast meat is much more forgiving when it comes to over cooking and potentially drying it out. You can swing 10 degrees on the hot side of done and still be in the green.

I'll be doing a Butt tomorrow, will be interesting to compare it to the way I've been doing it for years with the Sous Vide and Oven.
