Yeah a slot would be nice. But not like you couldn't do that later anyways. But a slot would also allow a plug weld at that spot a bit.

    3/16" haha

One final paper template tomorrow and I think this will be ready for the laser cutter. I'm not to sure on how well the bends will work since they transition from a small to large radius.passenger coilbucket gusset.jpg

Slowly getting the small things fixed on the shitbox. Did away with the crappy exhaust band clamp connecting the down pipe to the rest of the system. Installed a Vband. Hopefully that gets rid of my P0420 code I've had for what seems like forever. Might add one to the short section after the muffler as well, that one leaks too. Small complaint with the Titanium 125, it doesn't feed well at all when its 20-30 degrees in my garage. Brought it inside for the night and it worked perfectly the next day.

Replaced the front output seal on the tcase. Found that someone used fpig on the splines . The seal installed didnt feel very snug on the shaft so I shall see if something else needs to be addressed.

Apparently on the last trip I hit my passenger side ITR on something and tore the boot. Fortunately I had a spare and swapped that out while the rest of the suspension is apart awaiting the coilbucket gusset which should be here tomorrow. :fingerscrossed:

Installed a new EGT probe. Took a gamble and ordered a Glowshift probe hoping that the connector and threads were the same as the Prosport probe. They were! Hopefully this probe last longer than a year like the Prosports were.

Also replaced the wideband as the previous one would read lean under WOT while the OEM one was where it should be and timing wasnt being pulled so I'm assuming that sensor was going out.

All the cases I’ve pulled apart have had FIPG on the splines from the factory if it makes you feel better

I think I’m about 50/50 on whether I remember to put it on the splines during reassembly. Haven’t had any leaking problems on the 3 or 4 I’ve had apart

Template turned out pretty damn close. I didn't need to take a grinder to it. It was a bit of a pita to fit it over the UCA tube ends but it worked in there. I did ubolt the cab mounts and lift up the cab to make welding a little easier. Getting it in there probably would have been easier with the extra room also. Any high spots were easily hammered into submission and then tacked and moved on to the next spot. Debating if it's worth pulling the motor to weld the back sides or not. Hopefully I can use this same template on the driver side also.

    Solid work!

I know how much of a PITA it is welding in the wheel well.

I was able to weld be back sides through the engine bay...mostly. be way better with the motor out but thats no walk in the park either..

    Solid work though man!

I'll be pretty surprised if you can use the same side on the passenger side.

I've got a pesky turbo in the way and pulling the engine sounds more appealing than unbolting that thing again.

I can dream. It honestly shouldn't be that bad to tweak things since I'm getting more proficient in my CAD designs. Just annoying printing on a 8.5x11 sheet of paper and piecing other sheets together.

Damn I never thought to lift it off it’s body mounts for easier access. That’s a really good idea. Did you just loosen the rears and lift the front or lift it all? I’ve never replaced my mounts before so not sure how people usually do it.

also twinning, I think this happened when I did my uca gussets.
