Lol so true. When I enlisted in the Army, they were phasing out the C-rats and bringing in the MRE's and "T-rats". T-rats were squad size cans the cooks just threw into boiling water for a couple of hours and then "Ta-Da", dinner served. And you still opened em up with your P-38. :oldglory: :oldglory: :oldglory:

How do they affect the rear ride height and suspension feel while not towing/unloaded? I'm not sure whether they'll contact the bump stop plate under normal use or not.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
The Maxtrax pins are not a must as you can make your own using regular hardware. The pins imo are just a cleaner look and lockable as a deterrent. :hattip:

I didn’t know those actually had a name. Used one a few times in scouts 30 or so years ago but never knew what they were called. The things I learn on this forum are endless.

The P-38, developed in 1942,[1] is a small can opener that was issued in the canned field rations of the United States Armed Forces from World War II to the 1980s. Originally designed for and distributed in the K-ration, it was later included in the C-ration. As of 2020, it is still in production and sold on a worldwide market.[

Rock on!! I wish I could still do water eactivities. I have (VET) handicap plates on my motorcycle and was stopped by a lady who was parked next to me (also with handicap plates) and asked why I had such plates. I ended up educating her about "unseen disabilities". You would think fellow disabled would be more understanding, wouldn't you?

I wish I could do more than just kayaking. But if I fall in the water, I have to float around till someone pulls me out :(

Its amazing how some people, even other people with disabilities dont understand it. If anyone saw me in my truck they would think I am just fine, but if they watched me walk more than 100 feet and have to rest they would see im not fine at all.

No change to ride height.. that was actually the main reason I went Sumo Springs over an AAL type setup. They sit about 1/2inch off the bump stop plate stationary. I’ve had them on for 10 miles or so and they do make contact even when not under load. Makes the ride a bit firmer, but not enough for me to say anything negative.

It's funny you say this (and not ha ha funny).

My aunt has COPD, emphysema, and a host of other medical issues from smoking for almost 40-something years (so take notes kids). Saying that, she has a placard in her car and keeps a spare just in case. She gets winded very easily going from parking lot of the store to the store. Or course it's even worse in the summertime from the suffocating heat and humidity in Mississippi.

And having been a Type 1 diabetic for almost 25 years, I'm sure I could push the button and easily qualify for getting a handicap placard for myslef. But as of now, my health is fairly decent and I don't have issues walking from the back of the parking lot to the store. But with all things being equal, that certainly can (and will) change as time progresses.

I pack one of those and a flint stick on my key chain. My can of beans will get opened easily and be warm as well.

    Without a google search,
I believe A/CO 795th MP Company was stationed in Germany or Ft Leonard Wood during my 23 years. Am I close ?
