Not how they are designed. You can't just add a leaf to go from a U402 Stage 1 to Stage 2, like you can with dakars or icon rxts.

The differences between the stages is the whole pack design, not a couple leafs that you can add or remove. I asked Deavers about that.

 

What prevents a person from disassembling a Deaver leaf pack?

Let me restate. I was choosing between Stage 1, 0-300 pounds constant load, and Stage 2, 300-600 pounds constant load. I called Deaver to ask if they sell add-a-leafs to take a stage 1 to a 2, in case i add more weight in future. They said they don't, and their not built that way. The overall design is different between different stages (custom to that constant load range). They could swap out numerous leafs to convert it, but not a single leaf.

my eldest drove 2 hrs, for his requested, 30th birfday dinner,he asked for, barbecue cups...

U402 Stage 2 is beefy. Stage 3 must be nuts. I'm a fan now after installing deavers. More leafs and they are heavy.

 

No problemo.

 

It doesn't often get that cold here in Pennsylvania...every few Winters we'll get some sub zero temps.
Sub zero Fahrenheit, that is.
Nevertheless, I know what you mean about it being so cold your face hurts.
I mean, hurts like a toothache all over your face.
Riding a motorcycle in the Winter without some sort of face covering is like that.
