This is what i want to do too, but on the factory 2gen rails they go into those holes so its hard to seal them without replacing with a flat metal rail. Do the 3gens snap down as well?

I would guess yes, but I don't think a lot of stuff comes up, hits the bottom of a rail and then wanders inboard to make your bed dusty. A few holes poked in the tape won't kill you.

Anyone here that has the 2nd ge DCSB? Some of you have been awesome but I need to make some cuts and need to know how much. I’d rather not guess based on 3rd gen. Need to know edge height tent to cab. Think where the Prinsu side pieces sit.

Yes they clip back into the holes. That’s why I put caulking to seal it.

I may just hit up a bottle shop or two since nothing will be open for tastings/food. Someone mentioned one above, and I know there was a real good one I stopped at last time I was through.

Back to canopies.... I got an email from Cindy this afternoon. There was supposed to be a silver metallic unit go out this week that I was looking forward to pics of. She said the paint on that one had unsatisfactory coverage which their powdercoater had a few complaints on, and the manufacturer has been unable to fix the issue with it. So they will not be offering the silver metallic anymore. I don't think there were many on the spreadsheet who had chosen that. That does make color an easy choice now for me.

If anybody is looking to keep dust from coming in to their bed from the cubbies this guy is selling bed cubby caps for 2nd/3rd Gen Taco’s. There’s info on his thread but he is no longer a member. I just got a hold of him today and he said he is still selling them. You will need to fill out his online order form if interested. Here’s some info:

do you have any photos of how they are assembled? The link to the 3rd gen thread doesn't exist. In my case my larger one has a compressor in an expedition essentials mount. I mainly need to seal the door and surround not the cubby. I don't care as much there. I see there is some 3d printed part and not sure how that works.

I believe they are new ones being made for the X1. John has been having them make some custom one off stuff to later get made for the X1 setup. Or somehow fitted to make it work. I could be wrong but so far similar on other vendors he's working with.

If you dig sours, gotta plan a stop at Cascade brewing. Otherwise I can concur with lots of the spots already mentioned. Hair of the Dog is legendary.

Also Ecliptic is real nice, haven't seen it mentioned.
