This is what my truck presently has; Issued by the dealership back in September 2009...

My dad gifted the truck to me as an early Christmas present in December 2016, and since it was staying in the family, he decided to keep the original plate when he transferred the title to me rather than get a new one because it meant he would have to pay sales tax on the value of the truck; As a result, the truck was considered a gift by PennDOT and the only required fee was for transferring the title to my name (Which my dad paid since the truck was a gift)! As stated earlier, the only difference is that my license plate says "TRUCK" on the bottom instead of "visitPA.com", and these were the standard passenger issue from 2008 to 2018...

Beginning in 2017-2018, Pennsylvania started to go paperless; My truck last got a registration sticker in 2016, which expired in 2017, and after that I started registering the truck for two years (below is a circa 2018 PA plate)...

Note that it still has the indentation on the left for the registration sticker; I would just place the registration stickers directly on top of a each other, and I probably had stickers going back to 2012 piled on top of each other. I tried unsuccessfully to remove the layers of stickers and there are still remnants on my current plate; I initially left the old sticker on there, but I heard stories of Pennsylvanians getting pulled over in other states because cops in those states weren't unaware of Pennsylvania going paperless and just assumed the people were driving unregistered vehicles. The only state I've driven my truck into in the last decade is New Jersey, but I wasn't taking any chances!

Current Pennsylvania plate; Note the lack of an indent on the upper left and a little outline of Pennsylvania where the sticker would normally go...

If I had to choose a favorite flat plate, it would have to be this one; Oklahoma started issuing these in 2009, but began phasing them out in 2017-2018...

2018-present Oklahoma "Twitter Bird" plate, which has now replaced the previous plate... :(

This is another one of my personal favorites; My uncle bought a used 1987 Isuzu Trooper II in 1989, and it came with these plates. Since plates stay with the vehicle in California, the Trooper still had them when my uncle sold it in about 2005...

John didn't like the RR one either; The thing is Pennsylvania has been stopping production of all its beautiful special issue plates (D.A.R.E. and Philadelphia Zoo, for example)...

I'm worried that the RR plate's days are numbered :(

Money has nothing to do with it; Like $55 for the plate and the the registration fee is the same I think...
