I cold chiseled and torched the mother fudger front diff bolt off that of course stripped and left me up the diarrhea river without a pot to piss in. This little bastard was a royal pain to dislodge. But once I did..........

    and then

I know it’s a little thing but the satisfaction of hearing that bolt snap off after hammering and hammering and hammering, it felt so good!

Spent 3 hours prepping for my engine bay detail tomorrow. Removed battery and cleaned and while I had it out I thought this was an opportune time to clean the battery post and terminals. I also gathered the tools and products I thought necessary to complete the job. I also cleaned and sealed all areas I thought were critical and could cause a problem if not protected. I put a tarp covered with a moving blanket underneath the area I will be cleaning so the garage floor will still be clean when I finish. I’ve already detailed underneath the hood and it was just as nasty as the engine bay.

Nothing major, got 180lbs of tube sand over the rear axle finally. In case of ice or whatever this winter.

Today I bent the crossmember that my traction bar bolts to. Lmao. I couldn't get a decent picture of it.

Sorry to interrupt... on mine I swapped the power port for the lighter and the lighter for the power port.
    20210122_170344.jpg
Never mind the "custom" cell phone mount or the Harbor Freight receipt for submersible trailer lights. Lol. The power port went into the cigarette lighter hole with zero issue, it snapped right in, it's weird because the power port hole is smaller than the lighter hole. I drilled out the old power port hole for the cigarette lighter size using a step bit or unibit.

To get the power port out without taking the dash apart at all you'll need 2 picks similar to these
    20210122_170555.jpg
They can both be 90* or both hooks or one of each it doesn't matter. You'll use one pick to unlock the tabs that lock in the power port and the other pick to gently pull the power port out of its hole on the same side of the power port that is getting unlocked first. You pull the power port out a little crooked and then move to the opposite side of the power port to unlock that sides lock using both picks like you did on the first side. So my power port has one of its locks at about 8:00
    20210122_170408.jpg
You use a pick and push the black lock out of the rectangle shaped hole and with the other pick grab the same hole to pull the power port out slightly. Then move to 2:00 where the other lock is and repeat.

For the lighter it is the same principal but it doesn't have a rectangle shaped hole, it has holes shaped like an L, ar around 4:00 and 10:00 on my lighter.
    20210122_170436.jpg
Push down on the black and gently pull on the lighter at the same time.

I hope I'm wrong and you're right but I don't think PreRunner's have splined slip yokes.
    20210122_170232.jpg

Edit: fish the wires out of the power port hole and lighter hole with a wire coat hanger.

Did the bed bolt D-Ring mod on my truck. And clue what the maximum weight on these is? I strapped the sandbags down to them.
