And how much context do you get from reading a single post? Hopefully you read more than JUST that single post and have maybe a good idea of the background from where those posts are coming from when they are bitching about the moderation on the forums.

 

Not arguing but I fail to see how the majority of the Bernie memes are considered political. Yes, he is a political figure but the majority of those memes aren't meant to be politically motivated.

I'd love to see who reported these posts and see what other posts they report. Sounds like a possible "Karen" in TW clothing. Yes, I know you won't show me.

 

Is the phrase "Feel the bern" considered politcal?

Because if you put it into google, it takes you to someones campaign page.

If the context of a political figure in a meme is political, then I would agree. Again, the majority of the Bernie memes do not have a political context. So I disagree with both of your rationalizations. I also realize that you are only following the directions you have been given regarding the subject.

Agreed. FWIW, I *love* the no politics rule. Its probably the reason I spend entirely too much time here. That said, sometimes it feels like its on a bit of a hair trigger.

 

What for? We are having a civil discussion with a couple moderators regarding site policy. No one is getting pissy or posting hateful comments. I see no reason that anything we have discussed would warrant a thread lock. It is the "Lunch Table" thread after all and an appropriate place to post such things since a moderator posted about it.
