Another exciting game for the Pens, who had their 3rd consecutive game that went beyond regulation. Letang scored the winner in the shootout, to make up for 3 give aways, including one short handed that led to a Rangers' goal.

 

Letang had a shit game. Glad to see Jarry tightened up in the third.

 

I can't remember the last time Letang had a good game. It's interesting that, other than the rookie playing in his first game - Pierre Oliver Joseph - Letang had the least short handed time. He used to be their first D man out there. He can't be trusted. Malkin is another one and that breaks my heart to say that because, other than Horny, he has been my favorite Pen over the years. Malkin made multiple sloppy lazy passes, numerous times where he just nonchalantly dropped it back toward the blue line in the offense zone, that could have been disaster. I believe he had 3 give aways too.

 

Malkin had been lagging the last two seasons. It looks like his heart isn’t in it.

 

He definitely isn't as explosive, like he was when he first came up. He has no other tricks and you an see the frustration, then the resign, in his game. He may get some PP points, but I can't see him getting many points even handed. I see he is already a -3 after 5 games.

 

Off to St. Louis for back to back games before heading to Minn for a double pay back

This short season feels like its going to be painfully long to me

 

Losing Markstrom hurt even more than I thought.

The Habs also look a lot better than I expected.

I am a Maple Leafs Fan since the 70's, but also have grown up in Columbus, so also like the Jackets...when they are not playing the Leafs!!!

no bandwagon here...been a Leafs fan since 1969...Borje Salming and Wendel Clark are my fav players...saw many games in the old ML Gardens in the late 70'/early 80's with my parents friend's son...suffered through the 93 playoff run. Hate the Kings to this day b/c of it
