BFG AT/KO's Load Range E

So I've been looking at upgrading my tires. And really like the BFG's , had them on my last truck. But I don't know if I want to put E load tires on my Taco. Which is all that is avaiable at 265/75/16.

So who has'em and how do you feel about them?

I'm starting to piss myself of because i can't make a simple stupid decision.haha.

 

I have that size in D. So, I can't really answer your question. They did great today (slushy snow/rain mix). Dropped my car's MPG by about 1.5 though from the dunlop 17" stock tires.

yeah man. to answer your question i had those tires in the e range and i returned them for what i have now.

I think it was stupid of bfg to stop making that size in the c load range. the d's killed my mpgs.

 

What are you running now? Duratracs?

Im about to put load E tires on my truck as well. Either the trail grappler in a 295/70 or the terra grappler in a 305/70. Im fortunate my commute is short so im not too worried about mpg loss. I cant think of any other effects it will have on the truck putting a load e tire on.

the tires are heavy and bulletproof. you will feel it when driving.

 

Ive been reading some reviews though, and people have stated that they have not really felt the tires have "stiffened" up their ride. I just cant find a 295/70r17 or 305/70r17 or 33x12.5r17 thats under a load e. Wouldnt mind it if they were out there in a load d.

 

I have the BFGs in E load. Rides like a Tank. Doesn't bother me much, I bought a truck not a Navigator.

Just got the BFG T/A K/O 265/75/16 put on a few days ago. A lot stiffer than the stock BFG Rugged Trails but I like it and almost no body roll now. Don't know about MPG yet but I was getting around 400 miles to a tank. Is there a difference between T/A an A/T? Anybody know what PSI to put in these tires? I was told 40psi is that right?

 

Same here. The truck feels like it's riding on rails and very stable going around corners...no more lean. I personaly love the way the truck handles now. I had problems with the rugged trails following the ruts in the roads and was constantly fighting the steering wheel. The alignment was good...on straight stretches it tracked straight. Now with these load range e tires the problem went away...either due to the stiffer sidewalls or higher psi (running 40 front/36 back.)

Mine say T/A not A/T. Is there a difference?
