Good morning all, tomorrow begins a wave of snow days for the next five to six. Parts of the SW CO will get feet, Wolf Creek is expecting over 3 feet over the wave period. Right now we are in the 4-18" range depending on the path the storms take coming through. We welcome all of it - our snow pack is 73% of what is needs to be for this time of year. BRING IT ON :bananadance:

Alice brought home a propane Torch yesterday for me to play with - sort of, got some ice issues we need to resolve. Flame On

Second issue we are facing the next month or so, Coyote's are in their reproductive cycle which makes them extra aggressive and running in packs. I have to walk our two dogs separately as Agnes is coming off her first cycle and I need to carry while walking her. Several dogs have lost the battle in our neighborhood plus one of our neighbors got freaked out when a pack took down a doe in her yard the other day. They too have to eat but they are becoming a nuisance here, the state is looking at putting a bounty on them again as it is a real problem all over not just in our area.

Have a great day, for those still working TGIF for the rest of us it is the last day to shop before the weekend crazies....

    Morning all:
Pa "WAS" talking about putting a bounty on Coyotes also, but guess the money was needed elsewhere! I had posted that everywhere we hunted had coyote tracks all over the place, grouse are almost non existent, didn't see a single turkey track and almost no bunny tracks, all coyote snacks in addition to the fawns that they kill in the spring.

We still have a lot of turkeys around but they are diminishing as are the rabbits (OK with that part) although the Snow Shoe Hair family seems to hanging in there. Not sure we will see a bounty but that won't stop me from taking out a few. If a few of us in the neighborhood make enough noise and impact they just may move on - sorry to where ever they head off to - sort of....

Good morning, everyone! Still lots of turkey, rabbits and deer roaming in our little corner of northeast, PA. I do hear coyotes from time to time, but have rarely seen any....so far.

So it looks like we have an appt. for a covid vaccine 1/26. at a local Kroger pharmacy. My wife has been on this thing like a hound dog, for a while now. I was willing to wait for a call from our family doctor.. we're on that list also. Not a peep from them to date, nor any other promised return calls.. spool up plan B.

Conformation email rec'd day of 0500. It's a go.

The second shot is reserved for you, when you get your first.. providing you make an appointment at that time. Likely part of the shortage issue.

Good Morning folks. Another day of retirement :). For all up North stay warm.

We have coyotes in our neck of the woods upstate PA but the local folk keep them in check . I've heard them but haven't seen any yet.

I'm packing up the cooler with beer, going fishing.

When my buddy suggested we go fishing, I checked the tides, and it is not good for fishing. We don't care if we catch anything anyway, so off we go!

Just saw this thread; I'm 62 now. :turtleride:
My house is out at the SW end of a desert city, lots of open desert around me. I hear coyotes almost every night, and have seen tracks in my backyard sand.

My DIL is a nurse and the trend the med field is seeing is the first shot per say is not to much of a problem. Of course reactions are inevitable.

Second shot reaction is ok. It shows the second shot recognized the first shot in your system, and it's working properly.

There is a group of three rather fuzzy coyotes that have begun patrolling our neighborhood. I've seen them several times now. The winter fur is nice and I've got an idea they are well fed or they'd be moving along..... Monday they were out back - across the wash - but hanging around and our two mutts were of course going nuts. Too many nearby residentials so the AR has to stay in the lock-up. Grrrrr.

There’s no such thing as a bad day fishing. Heck you could be forced to play golf. Now there’s a waste of several hours. And you’ll never get them back.

I have / had too many coyotes in my area. They den up in the canyon behind my place.

    The solution is simple. Crossbow.
