I know it’s an old one, fighting the urge to try and save the whole thing. The rot is my own fault and now that I have it out I feel bad that I let it get to this. But at the same time, when I got it, it was simply a crate to move stuff from work.

I am laying comfortably in my bed at the hotel. Stopped by my mom's place and had some supper before finding the hotel.

Flights were uneventful. I just really should have eaten and drank more today but I don't have anything and don't feel like hunting down a grocery store. I'll make up for that at breakfast tomorrow!

 

Is your mom alright? I can’t imagine what she’s feeling.

Really, haven’t had to deal with death in the immediate family since my father’s passing in 1992, I can’t imagine being in your position. I hope everything is going as well as it can.

 

Thought about shaving the rotten edge off and making it a wall cabinet.

 

We're not a big talk about your feelings family but she seems alright. Her and 2 of my sisters were going through some of his stuff today, throwing some, keeping some and donating some.

My parents have always been dog people but she took a stray cat in that ended up having 3 kittens. They kept one and that one ended up being my dads. She did say she was glad the cats are there to keep her company. She also lives on the same property as my sister, about 200 feet between their doors.

 

Couldn’t be more on point with my family situation. Never been on a close contact situation with my mom even though she watches my kids. I often find out stuff through my wife when she picks the kids up in the afternoon.
My sister has always been the close one who has constant daily contact.
Glad your mom has someone within walking distance, that must be a relief while away.

Glad the flights were uneventful. The baggie with water/snacks is a new one. Who did you fly with?? All the flights I took last year after Covid hit were no food/drink service. If you wanted something, you had to bring it with you. I fly American almost exclusively.

 

Bag with water, sanitizer wipe and cookie served up on American Airlines

 

Was that first class? No wipe in coach

 

Delta. Fargo to Minneapolis had no service but it's only a 45 minute flight. Minneapolis to Atlanta handed out the snack bag.

 

No wipes back in loserville, just a pack of sanitizer.
