His panel may not be able (designed) to use them. Would be a big problem solver.

 

I know the dilemma. I have a 200 amp box. My brother, who is an electrician, put it in over 20 years ago. My house is a 1 1/2 story, 2100 square feet house. My box has little room too. When you live in an area without gas lines, things can be challenging. For example, we have a double oven, a 4 burner cooktop, a well pump, a water tank, a heat pump, a furnace, a dryer, and a dishwasher - all electric - that need a great deal of juice.

 

They fit in a standard single pole spot, they just have two outputs. You would have to move another circuit to the second one for each breaker spot you need.

My house has a small box with many of them that were installed when new by cheap ass builders.

 

Ditto. I had basically the same setup installed last spring and haven't lost power since...

we do potato bar sometimes for supper. bake a couple big russets and have chili,cheese,salsa,broccolli,onion etc... and everyone tops em the way they want.

Currently 28° high of 40° and more snow in the forecast for later this afternoon and into the night

Looks like we got over 3" of snow yesterday
And the 4k ft Cajon pass was slow going due to the snow especially at the summit

Where I live I'm at 3400ft elevation and when I went to bed last night the streets were covered in snow

First of 3 storms pushed through yesterday, each one is supposed to be colder.

Currently 43° under blue skies.
