I'm not aware of any "problems," but some of us are still waiting on long-term experience with the Rutheniums, and seeing if NGK releases a version "designed for" our trucks. (Can anyone confirm whether this happened or is still expected to happen this month?) Until then, I remain more comfortable with the iridium option, for now. FWIW, here are some of the posts that brought me to this conclusion...

I easily got 15K on my first and current set of Rutheniums. Despite feeling like they are near the end of their life and need replacing I continue to obtain stellar highway mileage on them at my highest ever 245 miles per tank.

As for the boys talking about the RIPP coils packs I can't say if they improved the Rutheniums but I did observe a notably smoother idle with them. Whether they helped further improve fuel economy is anyone's best guess including mine. I adopted the Gen 2 1GR coils from the T4R and later gen FJ's and wound up cutting down the boots so they would match the height of the original coils. That is more directed for you @Murphinator .

To avoid having such a stupid tight fit in there I put some silicone grease on the boots so they would not get stuck later on down the road.

This was right at 1/4 tank. 90% high way but half of the driving was loaded down hauling stuff. If I wasn’t hauling I think I could have gotten close to 20 mpg but hard to say with all the hill climbs.

HOLY SHIT DUDE! Did you used to get the same MPG I did on mine of about 14.3 or so?!

Now I am really amped to get my E-Fan installed this coming Thursday. Unfortunately, driving in general is sort of off the table these days so I really don't drive unless it's absolutely necessary, but when I do I am positive I will DEFINITELY be much happier with my newly boosted fuel economy at that point!

When you spent your money on camshafts, stroker, EL headers, Y-pipe, and eFan setup, so you can't afford the Amazon suction cup phone holder.

CA bros..... if you guys are getting an increase of +3.xx mpgs on this crappy CA winter gas, I know what my next purchase is going to be. (if its still available)

I swear I'm in the 10-11.xx mpg range when I can't keep my foot out of it.

If I drive well behaved and it's mostly flat I can get about 16mpg at 5600lbs, SC, 35's, 4.56, and my HPT ecu tuned by JustDSM. On average I'd say it's closer to 12 cause I lead foot it. The ecu tune actually gave me better mileage. I'll probably add a secondary fuel cell that can pump into the fill neck or something at some point when the tuning drops the fuel efficient more.

Yup, grabbed a stroker kit in the summer. Been a pain right now to finalize the logistics since I can't do any of the work myself and people just flat out don't return my emails and phone calls. I think I'm good now, just need to align some schedules across like 5 different shops. Probably should make a project thread now for people to chime in on stuff.
