Speaking of beds...i pulled a real adult move and bought a new mattress and some really nice sheet.

Man, sleeping has been a joy this week so far haha

 

GFC is 96 long interior, right? So you'd have 18". You'd definitely need to build a custom panel to have full support, but it might be possible.

Damn it. I hate possible. This would be an expensive month if I get a camera and GFC.

 

Or you can just take the factory panels out of the cushions and use them. Drill some 1” finger holes on two ends and it works just the same. The two 25x25” plastic panels aren’t attached to the foam so no complications. That’s what I plan to do to get back the fully closed floor option unless you just really want that ~18” open gap. It’s kind of useless imo and the tent material likes to fall down through that gap unless you use a bungee cord to keep it up and out of the way when closed.

 

Adulting sounds boring. I'm trying to hold off for a while longer.

 

Good point, for some reason I thought it was more like 7’ long but I just measured it and it’s 90” long inside. So you might be able to just leave the two small panels with the foam in them, maybe add a 2” piece on top and it would be level. I sleep with my head towards the back anyway so it would just be my pillow on there mostly. Hmmm...

Yeah we have been on a King for a while now. We actually bought one used for 200 in 2017. Then we killed it. It was bad. Had a few places that you'd really sink into and yeah..was not good.

I splurged and got a Purple mattress. It's been great.

not because of that! It was mainly me. im a side sleeper and my broad shoulders like created cavities in the bed haha I fit perfect in them but it would make it so the middle of the bed was like a ravine. Not fun.

I like it. I got the one with 3'' of the purple shit on it. I'd probably go for 4'' if I could do it again right now but I'm totally happy with this for now. It's amazing. Very comfortable on my back and side. Devin loves it but she likes a bit firmer of a bed than me usually. I didn't want to get out of bed today for work hahaha was pretty late.

So would recommend if you go that route eventually. really nice mattress. Got here super fast too.

Although to your last comment, I already splurged and got us a dishwasher. its a portable one but its pretty much a full blown one. Pretty life changing for us.

And yeah Nectar is one. Thats just a pillow top coil spring one. Purple is there like proprietary polymer some shit thingy grid. Nectar is a lot cheaper though.

 

I am not a big country and western type music fan... But this moved me... Deeply! Today I am hopeful.

 

The OEM is unqualified for the modified fueling need for SC applications. However they're cheap and easy to change out so it's not a bad decision if you think that's a few years out. If you're sooner than later on the pump front, Aeromotive 340 should be your choice.

 

No worries, they have a sheet that outlines which part number you need for a tacoma. Mine was easy to install

 

yep just go for the areo 340. What I did in the single cab have had it almost 2 years now I think. No issues.

You might as well now if the idea of a SC is there. Cause you won't really want to do it again.

Do NOT get a walbro. Fuckers are so freaking loud. What I have in Frank, I hate it.

 

Another endorsemnt for the Aeromotive 340. Been using in for almost a year now.

only option is a Denso Supra pump from an MKIV supra. It's not as big of a pump but is a Denso.

 

The supra pump is a pretty common swap for boosted land cruiser a too. I do kinda wonder about their oem vs replacement part line though, started to see some differences

 

Here is a data point for you. You will have to shorten the intake tube on the OEM pump mounting fixture because the new pump is about a 1/2" longer than your original. You'll also have to swap in the OEM connector too.

 

did you modify your cradle? I had to.

 

The cradle should take no modification, the stock rubber grommet works to hold it in perfect if you just cut the feed tube.

 

No reason to. Other than length, it fit perfect.
