OP, you did a great job. These covers look great. Do they offer the quilted style with different thread color options? I don’t have Facebook or I’d check them out.

I like them. I think on my white truck they would be what I want. I may even go with some red wheels I have studying about. Good work.

Did you happen to find out if you can get red stitching with no diamonds or any other colors beside white?

    Here is the website: https://www.prestigeoffroads.com/collections/all?page=7

Page 7 under products has the tacoma seats. Some reason the search function of year make model is not working.

White with red wheels would look killer!

Get a deep red anodized type of wheel on it.

Might be obvious, but could they just be used to replace the cloth? I added a seat heater kit to mine and another layer might make them less effective.

I got heated seats and it is factory under the cloth with my covers over them and they still work. They get hot but might take a little longer to heat up/feel but when it is at full temp you definitely feel the heat.

Thanks I didn’t mean to use such a large pic but I’m not great with this stuff. Lol I have to credit the wife a bit... I was looking at wheels online and she said wait back up look at those red ones. I think that is what I’m going with but there are so many to choose from.

So I ordered these Friday and they were shipped within a couple hours. While they were supposed to be delivered Monday they came a day early (Thanks FedEx) and I decided to take a look and put these on.

Disclaimer: I don't have other seat covers to compare to so take this with a grain of salt. I also purchased these with low expectations and with the understanding that these are simply a seat cover to protect the OEM seats.

First Impressions: They look awesome aesthetically and and the red really ties in with the rest of the truck. However I noticed several stitching anomalies so I am hoping those are nothing to worry about. It was mainly stitching over missing frabric, loose string everywhere, loose ends, etc. Again with nothing else to compare to it seems pretty homemade/amateur so I am hoping it was done well enough to stand up to some abuse over time. Pics below.

Fitment: I have mostly comments about fitment but I will say that they are almost there. They probably fit about 80%.
The Cons I have with fitment are just indicative of seat covers; while they are very tight they dont exactly follow the contours of the seats. One of the other issues I ran into is that they dont make the holes for the headrests large enough. I believe the intent was to cover the plastic base plate things but you lose the ability to reach the release latches. I used a Razor to cut these slightly larger so I could stretch the vinyl around the plastic headrests things.

    IMG_4635.jpg

Because I use my truck for carrying various tools, camp supplies etc I often have the seats down. These are intended to go over the rear seat plastic trays but I didnt like the idea of the seat cover taking that much abuse so I ended up removing the plastic seat back, putting the covers on then slicing some holes in the back to reinstall the plastic seat back. Worked without issues but would be nice if they came ready to do this.

I have to give credit to Toyota as they seemed to engineer everything perfectly for OEM fitment. With the seat covers on, the seats are much tighter when moving them forward/back and tilting. The rear seats when laid down are very very tight, you also have to be careful that when laying the back seat forward that you dont rub up against the straps on the bottom cushion which could actually break them. You just have to be a little more cautious when messing with the back seats.

    IMG_4634.jpg

Overall, I'd say they are just ok and time will tell how they hold up. I can see them stretching a bit out of place with heavier use and possibly having some stitching issues but for $250 for a full front and rear cover I'm not sure I can really complain. They are a good way to add some faux luxury to the truck as well as some durability without breaking the bank. I think I would recommend these if someone just wanted some nice looking low budget covers. Would I buy again? If the price stays at $250 I would.

You’ll actually want to leave that surged thread tail on there unless you seal the threads with a glue before cutting it off. That stitch will unravel unless sealed.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and left everything as is for the install.
