High Angle Inner CV Boot with Boot Slide Mod

    Can you tell us how well this mod held up for you? I've got to do something different. Both sides of my truck need replacing. My inner and outer are just about toasted. I would love to SAS but it's just not an option for me.

    Fox 2.0 Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0’s in the rear, Total Chaos UCA’s, Al-lpro expo leafs, K&N cold air intake, TRD headers,Magnaflow catback exhaust,URD short throw shifter, switched out my 60/40 bench seat for some Tacoma Limited seats, Replaced the vinyl shift boot for a leather one, completely soundproofed the cab w/ Frost King. Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.

    Are there not any better cv options for a lifted front end without dropping the dif? I definitely get some lock up in 4 low when turning.

    Enough droop and your cv axles will bind; that's just with the geometry of our IFS.

    But the high angle inner cv boot is a great way to keep from having to replace a cv axle due to a torn boot.

    That or don't lift your truck so much.

    Yeah I was considering dropping the front suspension down a bit after I go up to 35's. I would like to keep that clearance but I rather the cv's last

    You got a 2nd gen; this is the 1st gen section.

    With the exception of the boots, nothing else really translates over other than, all gens should be limited to a specific height over stock otherwise cv angles become an issue.
