Probably in for an IFS skid for my 2nd gen.

Anyone know if they all come with the extra bump out for a diff drop? I would much prefer it to be flat, and would rather not to take the angle grinder to a new skid.

The IFS skid has nothing to do with your differential. If you're asking about the main front and mid skids, you can select to get them with exhaust reroute option, so the skids are flat on the bottom.

I've always called the front skid an IFS skid. Not talking about LCA skids.

Front skid pictured on RCI shows it not being flat, and I understand the extra bump out is for clearance for a diff drop, which I won't be running.

I thought that's what you meant, but just wanted to make sure we were on the same page.

Guess I was thinking you were asking about the mid skid. so on mine I have that little drop out bit and I've beat the hell out of it and the thing doesn't even have a dent in it. You should be good to go with that on there unless the aesthetics are a deal breaker

I'm in for a 1st gen tranny skid depending on price.
I take it it'll fit a 4 cyl auto regular cab?

I’m in! Looking to get an aluminum front skid. Thanks! How does a group buy work exactly? I’m new to this

@mzenowvu Welcome to Tacomaworld. Hop over to the welcome forum and introduce yourself. Group buys are discount purchases. So the Original Poster (OP) will eventually come up with a do-or-die order date where you put your money where your typing fingers were.

It's not binding that you join, but it's bad form to say "sure" and not stick around for the business end of the deal. After all, someone is extending credit or using personal influence to get a deal. So, ask questions, qualify your answer if necessary, but let your "yes" be "yes" and your "no" be "no." 2 Cor 1:17
