Awesome! Really cool drone vids, thanks for sharing. Looks like you hit some neat areas. Arizona is definitely a good one for adventure and history.

Made it down to Land Between The Lakes (Kentucky) for a quick day of exploring trails and an overnight camp. First time there but won’t be my last.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Nice setup Chris! You got a link to your build or a video. I am about to layout some cabinets in my bed, and while the goose gear is tempting, I really like what you have going on here.

Thanks! You can search my member name in the "Vagabond Camper Drifter Buildout and Mods" thread... I have some posts in there for the camper build-out.

Took a snow trip with the Drifter.

Condensation is HORRIBLE... Didn't use a heater but it was very wet everywhere inside the Drifter. It got down to 10F that night.

Also the Tacoma is extremely capable in the snow, I forgot how well ATRAC works. Definitely helped on snowy icey hill climbs.

Yeah :/ The condensation is why I'm considering a removable heater for the winter camping. I don't mind the cold and neither does my partner when it's above 20 degrees F, but the ice in the morning is a bit much to deal with when packing up to go to the next destination without time to sit in the sun to dry out.
If the Vagabond insulation package isn't available soon, I'm going to borrow a sewing machine and use @beardy 's info on making my own DIY option.

I don’t mind the cold either. I have a very good down quilt sleeping bag and use a electric blanket. It got too hot for me so I turned off the electric blanket.

What sucks may boots froze and in the morning I couldn’t use them since they were hard as a rock. I did forget to put on my Strawtooth rear window cover that night as well.

For those who are reading this and haven't dealt with a single-walled shelter (of any sort) in the cold before - all single-wall tents/campers/etc are gonna have condensation when used in the cold. My Four Wheel Camper was really bad as well. I might have to make an insulation package for my Drifter...

Chuck one of these in a bag with your boots wrapped w/ a towel or just stick your boots in a cooler. Works pretty well.

Yup, going to mention this, but you already did. Lots of variables involved, too, especially weather related.

This is super helpful in showing the gap between the Prinsu and the overhang, which a lot of people ask about.
It definitely looks like 2nd gens can't have a full-length roof rack without significant cutting.

One interesting thing I noticed in the video is that the last two square panels that close in the sleeping area from accessing the truck bed have one corner cut off at 45 degree angle. My guess is that this allows air to escape when closing up the lid, which is a problem that GFC didn't seem to solve (and maybe still hasn't) and just recommends to leave the tent unzipped so air can escape.

I have a Prinsu on my 3rd gen DCLB under my drifter. The drifter has come in contact with the rack when running some trails. I'm thinking of cutting it down to stop this from happening in the future.

Zippo Hand Warmer. It uses the Zippo lighter fluid and doesn't have an open flame. Under that metal with holes is a Platinum-catalyzed glass fiber burner that you heat with a lighter/torch and then it performs a chemical reaction with oxygen and the fuel inside and produces heat for 6 or 12 hours depending on which model you get.

I have a set of two and they are pretty good. Some people don't like that they don't get as HOT to the direct touch as the disposable ones.
