Little work to get them to fit but love them much better. The 265’s are a solid option if you’re not going to lift though!

Nice if you need the clearance, might not be worth it if you don’t.

It really depends on the added weight of your new wheel and tire setup. If mpg is a concern try to choose the lightest wheels and tires you can

I had an epiphany this morning when I walked out in my driveway, the 265/70R16 tires on the Tacoma will fit to replace the 255/70R16 tires on my 2000 Ford Expedition. The Expedition tires are load index 111, Taco tires are 112, so that also works.

My question, will a 265/75R16 fit in the spare tire position under the bed on the Tacoma? I could use all 5 of the 265/70R16 taco tires on the Ford (The spare is original from 2000) but that would require replacing the Tacoma spare also. I don’t think I’d try and do a 5 tire rotation on the Tacoma, so it’s not imperative that I have a matching spare, but if it fits I’ll spend the money.

Thanks. I did some searching and found another thread about the larger spare fitting, too.

2" CCM front spacers, secondary airfilter gone, OEM 16" alloys, Trailer hitch gone, Seat belt buzzer gone, Ignition key buzzer gone, shortened fact. antenna.
Finally got Wrangler AT 265 75 16’s (42 lbs, non E) which look perfect size to me on my ‘10 Prerunner 4 cyl 5spd. I notice almost no rolling or acceleration slowness or difference btw these & the Michelin Ltx At2 265 70 16, (39lbs) which always looked too small, but they lasted well over 120k mls. The speedometer is now almost exactly correct too, but I’ve yet to see how the 1” taller tire does climbing up steeper off-road..will post when I do. 3823F8ED-2370-4490-A327-64B002926D8B.jpgB076351F-285D-4069-94B3-5E00E6B325B6.jpg

Looks Nice! I am wanting to do the same. I dont want to screw the suspension when I love the truck already. I am weary tho, bc I have seen a few people say they get some slight rubbing with 265/75/16s.. You experienced any? Take it offroad much?

sorry to resurrect an old post, but I’m thinking of getting the Falken MTs or Yokohama Geo MTs for next set...trying to decide between 265/75 and 255/85...how do you like the Falkens? They’re pretty heavy, how did the trans handle them? Any feedback would be great! Thanks!
