I am getting an RXT pack installed in a week. I have been on a stage 5 Icon kit but just went with the aal for the last 3 years. Pretty stoked to upgrade to the full pack now that this is sagging. I am looking for some opinions on what option to go with, between 2 and 3. I have a leer canopy on full time, I am guessing it is around 300 pounds, and two awning's mounted to a rack on top of the canopy. Probably another 50 pounds. I keep about 30 pounds of tools in my bed full time. Every couple of weekends I tow a small pop up camper about 1200 pounds dry weight with anywhere between 7-14 gallons of water in the truck bed, and other camping gear, plus a fridge in my cab, plus a cargo box on top of my canopy. I am leaning towards option 3, but am concerned on weekends I want to wheel with not much weight in the truck, how will option 3 be? I don't mind a stiff road ride, that isn't a big deal to me, it's a truck. I am more concerned about the offroading part. Any insight is appreciated, thank you!

My RXT's landed from Wheeler's Offroad in one day. Very impressive shipping times. Now waiting on Shocks/Struts/Coils from Headstrong.

Anyone have recs on a good pair of Extended brake lines? I'm going to just install them when I do the rear end to make sure everything is done at the same time.

I got the +4" braided lines from wheelers, but I am also running B110's in the rear so they will extend further than 5100's. what rear struts are planning on running?

If you’re only running 5100s then you can leave your brake lines alone. If you still want to upgrade them just because, I’m also running +4” from wheelers.

Yep I was going to say the same. 5100's will act as the limiting point in flex. 5100's wont allow the leafs to extend far enough to stretch the lines. If they get tighter than you would like, you can always bend the stock brackets a little to gain an inch or so.

Go option 3. 3 with just a camper shell shouldn’t be uncomfortable/too stiff and will make towing with gear a lot more enjoyable.

Ok awesome!!! I’ll leave them alone for now. I won’t be flexing it out super crazy right now. But I’ll probably end up changing it out at some point. Thanks for the info.

I got some 4" lines as well but never installed them. I run Fox 2.0s extended travel and I don't think I have enough flex to put strain on the lines. Also sounds like a huge pain to install them.

My 2.5 tundra rear foxes are installed with RXT leafs on option 1 by Accutune and they say in that configuration no ext brake lines are necessary.

Are you still on Opt 1? About how much lift are you currently at?
I'm about similar with your set up. Just picked up some RXTs. Want to know if Opt 2 would be way too much lift for average of 200lbs daily.

I am. Honestly hard to say I haven't measured in a long time. I am still happy with it though. Op 2 felt like too much for the average normal everyday stuff. If I'm loaded super heavy for a multi day trip then Op 1 feels a bit underwhelming, but most of the time its good

I’m rocking option 2 with my king bed, king 2.5s cranked up to 7 from full soft, and they’re soooo cushy and firm at the same time, it’s perfect. Riding with a constant 200lb load

Thanks for the input! Exactly what i want to hear. Also running Kings, I usually run 10 clicks in the rear. Going Opt 2 now

even when i dump my load, with the clicks at full soft, it feels WAY softer(compliant) than the stock springs at first, though they keep you in the mid travel zone so much better that the bottom feels like it would take a big hit to touch, like a deep hole or dip.

Well that negative arch thing is always gonna be the shortcoming of the OEM design. No matter what springs you use they’ll always end up flat going into negative arch on uptravel. My setup in the rear is the same as yours except I have a customized Dakar leaf pack. My VS shocks are what limits down travel however. I have extended brake lines. In lieu thereof I’d suggest you shim your bracket up with a stack of washers.

Im not much of a rock crawl guy either, more like bombing down crappy tracks in Baja to go surf in remote places. This is pretty much the best setup without welding in which case I 100% agree. Spring under and both shocks clocked in front of the axle

I do exactly that type of off roading(main reason I run the hydro bumps as well)

which bracket are you talking about ? The one off the axle for the brake line ? So at full droop the break lines might get pulled ? I think the shocks won’t let that happen because they will act like “limit straps” maybe ?

    Thanks
