Next job material came in. 3/4” x 4” brass. 3’ long, $110 a foot

 

At $110 a foot there ain’t no such thing as a long one or a short two. Still a game of inches tho.

 

Another favor for the powdercoater. Had to set the 20” brake press up for this one

Metal polish on that brass tube, make it shine.
I have the original Marlin or Glenfield?? that I got age 10 or so. I remember it was $99.00 new.
I had to replace the recoil spring in it. The spring was tweaked wore out and I was getting blow back...in my eye

 

This guy came over and shot with my son and I one day and he was having trouble with this gun. I can't remember what it was he was having trouble with. It wasn't terribly dirty, it does look like the firing pin is a little worn on the end. We'll see if cleaning it helped, if not maybe I can TIG a little on the firing pin.

 

Man! You get into a lot of cool stuff as well as a lot of others around here....

 

I refinished it in high school.

 

I remember seeing some of those through the years, never owned one though. That's cool you still have it

No, it's just engraving that the older ones used to have. The new one I purchased 10 years ago or so don't have it.

Thanks and you're welcome! My dad has had a J.D. blade as long as I can remember, he planted a post and would unhook in front of it and lean it back on the post. I figured with this I can unhook it anywhere
