Throw a tape measure on that thing. I’m betting I could come up with one of those shafts cheaper than what that spacer is gonna cost.

That’s the connector. The switch itself is 84210-52050. I guess I was unclear on exactly what was damaged.

The connector is fine. It’s the plug part on the switch that’s busted. Sorry.

Front drive shaft looks to be 29.5", hard to tell of that is the exact installed length with the rubber boot in the way. Also, t-case and diff are out, so I can't check there.

    Thank you for that.

My shaft is measuring 28.5” flange to flange. So, I’m betting that I could use any 37140-04050/04051/04052/04053 for this swap. Which would be second gen A/T or 3rd gen M/T. That’s great news!

Hmm. Now that I think of it; I wonder if the rear shaft from the same applications would work as well.

Front shaft from a 2nd gen A/T inbound. Same place I bought the transmission from. They’re actually sending it free of charge. I couldn’t ask for a better deal than that!

Sorry, I do not understand CDK. Can you inform me on that or what I'm missing?

I know you already sourced one but just for everyone’s benefit. I have a second gen A/T and am using a front driveshaft from a second gen manual 4banger.

Used shaft has arrived. There it is next to my original shaft. It’s not as clean as I would like. But, the price was right. I’ll clean it up.

Long section is an inch longer. Short section is the same length.

Another puzzle piece just showed up. Front section shortened by 1”, new U-joints, and balanced.

I did a bunch of stuff yesterday. Just about all of it was clutch related and therefore posted up in the other thread.

I did however set both transmissions side by side and swapped over the necessary brackets to hold the harness and vent tubes in place. A couple of them required minor massaging. No big deal.

EDIT: hopefully these pics help. Basically you’re going to transfer the brackets I’ve circled and eliminate the ones I’ve crossed out. The plastic holders on the harness will need to be moved around a bit to line up.

The LH O2 bracket needed a bit of trimming to get it to play nice with the casting of the RC trans. Take your time and only trim what you have to here to make it sit flat under the bolt head. The O2 bracket that came on the RC might actually work just fine. Maybe try it first and then decide.
